  • So good to leave the house at 9:10 for worship this morning!
  • Jim's message was right on, speaking on the importance of Guarding One's Heart
  • When dealing with the heart, our prayer should be that of King David - Create in me a NEW Heart!
  • Tomorrow is going to be an extremely busy day on the campus of FCC.
  • Tuesday will be a very exciting day at FCC.
  • I continued to be humbled by the generosity of Johnson University.
  • In light of our depraved culture, these verses should give us all comfort.
  • Today is the half way point of the year, 2014 is less than 200 days away!

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I had the unique privilege of preaching at 2 different churches this morning. The first one at 8:45., the second one at 10:45. Now I know how a circuit rider feels.
  • While it was two different churches, both share the common bond of the Holy Spirit. This is what makes the local church so unique, different styles, different people, but the common bond of Christ - Good stuff.
  • Today's message - People of the second chance! Focused on the father in the parable of the prodigal son.
  • 3 points; the Father who waits, the Father who restores and the Father who rejoices.
  • Want to know why the message of the prodigal son resonates with so many people? Here is the truth, we are all prodigals at one time.
  • Is there someone you need to restore today? I would suggest you look to the Father in the parable of the prodigal son and emulate his actions!
  • Special treat today for the first time in 30+ years of ministry I got to share lunch with my father on Father's Day - Priceless.
  • If you have not tried BONEFISH GRILLE - you need to try it out - BTW get the salmon with the mango salsa - so good!
  • This is one of the  most important weeks in the history of FCC, if you are reading this blog tonight would you take a few minutes to pray for the future of FCC this week!
  • Something to Chew on; Being a role model is the most powerful form of educating...too often fathers neglect it because they get so caught up in making a living they forget to make a life.” ~ John Wooden

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at FCC of Arcadia today, their minister is an alumnus of Florida Christian College and they support an alumnus who is a missionary in Africa. Here is a small church having a huge impact on the Kingdom of God.
  • Today's message; Why Strong in the Scripture is not just a motto for a Bible College.
  • Do you remember when the the Christian church was known as "People of the Book"?
  • Sometimes the "Google Map" is wrong, trust me I am speaking from experience.
  • Did a little "Channel Surfing" this afternoon - football season cannot get here soon enough!
  • After traveling the last 21 weekends to churches in Florida, I am really looking forward to worshiping at FCC Kissimmee this week.
  • It is official, I have a new title at Florida Christian College, lots of changes going in at FCC!
  • Said goodbye to one of our team members this past week; Crystal I am looking forward to hearing what God does through you in your next adventure.
  • Even though they are repeats, the Duck Dynasty gang still makes me smile.
  • Here is some wise advice for every leader.
  • Next time you are feeling invincible, remember the families who faced the tornadoes the past couple of weeks in Oklahoma.
  • Something to Chew on; Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader success is all about growing others ~ Jack Welch
