Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
  • Great message this morning at FCC Kissimmee - We all need to CRAVE!
  • Brotherly Love is a must for the people who belong in a community of faith.
  • Here is a powerful article from Leadership Journal - on the power of repentance and forgiveness. What would happen if this movement took place all over America?
  • Big announcement at JUFL tomorrow, generous people are such a blessing to the college.
  • Speaking at Impact this weekend, I have been out of youth ministry for almost 16 years, now where is that whoopee cushion!
  • So amazed by the power of prayer, to all of our prayer warriors - THANK YOU!
  • Thinking about how much my life has changed since I blogged this post three years ago.
  • Our middle child is moving out of town - leaving the nest is difficult for parents.
  • Looking forward to the Florida Bible Conference this week.
  • Broncos or Seahawks?
  • Was the Pro Bowl today?
  • Did you see where the Gators have moved up to #6 in men's hoops?
  • Something to Chew on; “Don’t be distracted by criticism. Remember the only taste of success some people have is when they take a bite out of you.” ~ Zig Ziglar

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Generations Christian Church this weekend. A very good message from Luke 18 on the Goodness of God.
  • Generations CC was a very gracious host to all of the mission partners this weekend - Thank you for your hospitality.
  • Saturday night was just one of those God things that you cannot explain, but it was a great opportunity for me and JUFL.
  • Here is a question to ponder, what if the American church began thinking about reaching people today like the missionary who goes to the "foreign field"? In the foreign field the missionary studies the language, the culture and the people and then plans how to reach the people group. Just wonder what would happen if our churches did the same thing in America today. Would this change how we do church?
  • Really looking forward to the Super Bowl.
  • A few more changes at JUFL this week, new software is coming on line Tuesday, I hope the training pays off!
  • I have to admit I was skeptical about football in Gainesville for the 2014 season, but it looks like some major recruiting is going on behind the scenes.
  • Nothing makes me smile like hearing Savannah call me Pa Pa.
  • Just saying 57 degrees is to cold to play a round of golf - I know!
  • Something to Chew on; “You get to decide where your time goes. You can either spend it moving forward, or you can spend it putting out fires. You decide. And if you don't decide, others will decide for you.” ~ Tony Morgan

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at 2 places today, Pathway Christian Church in Port Richey and FCC Kissimmee. Two churches two messages, both were great opportunities.
  • Really appreciated the worship leader at PCC, her theme was perfect for what the church had faced this week.
  • Question, who comforts the minister when he is is hurting?
  • Spoke on the topic of convictions tonight, what will you you stand for in this world today?
  • Hey the GPS is not always right!
  • I think Tony C. does some of the best offering meditations period! Week in and week out they are always thought provoking.
  • Busy week at JUFL, looks like it will be an "all hands on deck!" kinda week!
  • I love our small group!
  • I have been thinking a lot lately on "How independent should the church be today?" Just curious.
  • "FACETIME" is one of the great gifts of technology!
  • In one week my youngest child turns 21 - I think I blinked!
  • Am I the only person creeped out by the new Old Spice commercials?
  • Well it looks like the next few weeks we are going to see some pretty good football.
  • Something to Chew on: I'm not going to church today because I like Jesus. I'm going because it helps me be more like Jesus. ~ Rick Atchley on Twitter

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Last Sunday at FCC Kissimmee for a while, back on the road starting next week, however Jim's message was spot on today. We all need to CRAVE God's word.
  • Watching the baptismal waters stir is always a good thing.
  • Remember we can never take for granted the blessings God gives to us as an individual or as a church as a whole.
  • Reconnected with a former secretary today, it has been 25 years since we were together, so good to connect once again.
  • Second semester starts tomorrow at JUFL, hard to believe in 17 weeks another group of world changers will be leave the campus and begin to make their mark on the Kingdom.
  • Besides the Bible; What book(s) are you reading in January?
  • One of my favorite quotes from graduate school, "You can tell when a brain dies, by looking at one's library." Thank you E. Ray "Cotton" Jones.
  • Dropped my daughter off at school tonight - where does the time go? So proud of her!
  • I know it is winter and it is supposed to be cold, but my friends up north have got to be miserable.
  • Saturdays are not the same without college football.
  • Oh, how I wish Charlie Strong was coming to Florida!
  • FSU or Auburn, we will know for sure tomorrow evening.
  • Do you have prefect attendance in church for 2014, let's go for 2 weeks in a row next week!
  • Something to Chew on; “Fear will do one thing and one thing only: hold you back” ~ Kya Aliana
