Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Journey Christian Church, Apopka this morning.
  • Great message on the importance of priorities for a new year, from Joshua 24.
  • What are your priorities for the New Year?
  • Harvey's inventory questions were spot on.
  • If you know someone who is a nurse, make sure you appreciate their sacrifice and service. They are truly heroes!
  • Wonderful Christmas time with the family; Having the kids home and having Kathy on the road to recovery - Blessed!
  • When I think of my kids this verse comes to mind.
  • Driving on I-4 should come with warning labels much like that of cigarettes - "Driving on this road may be hazardous to your health!"
  • Don't look now, but 2016 is here, what ever happen to that Y2K thing?
  • I continue to be humbled by all the people praying for Kathy.
  • Well at least this year we don't have to worry  about the dolphins collapsing at the end of the season to miss the playoffs - they were done around week 8. Thank you fins for not giving us false hope in December.
  • Something to Chew on; Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors and let every new year find you a better man ~ Benjamin Franklin

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Wonderful time worshiping at FCC Kissimmee this morning.
  • Great message on the Anticipation of Christmas
  • The first gift given to the Christ Child was the gift of worship.
  • One of the great strengths of the Christian faith is the foundation rooted in history.
  • When someone is going through the cancer battle, it is amazing how many commercials are on TV talking about cancer.
  • Our little taste of cool weather this weekend reminded me I truly am a Florida boy!
  • Why do Oreos dipped in white chocolate only come out at Christmas time?
  • Good, no, great friends are a gift from God.
  • My top 3 Christmas Snacks; Chex Mix, White Chocolate covered Oreos and Homemade Chocolate Cookies.
  • Something to Chew On: The reason people miss the gift of Christmas – they are looking for the wrong item. They are looking for security rather than a savior, looking for a keepsake rather than a king and looking for the things of this world rather than one to be worshiped. ~ From a message I preached in 2007

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Did not make it to worship this morning, caring for Kathy and fighting this awful disease known as CANCER.
  • Cancer is a terrible disease, I wonder if there ever be a cure!
  • So thankful life is not just the 70+ years on this earth!
  • Night of Noel was absolutely fabulous Friday evening at JUFL. What a wonderful evening of music and worship.
  • OK there was the Army/Navy Game, but all that is left are the bowl games.
  • I continue to be overwhelmed by the number of people praying for Kathy.
  • Big movie weekend coming, it is funny how many different products/businesses are having some type of promotion for S.W.
  • My top three Christmas Songs; Joy to the World (Unspeakable Joy), O Holy Night, Mary Did you Know?
  • Honorable Mention; Silent Night, Breath of Heaven, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
  • I am really looking forward to this day.
  • Looking over some of my past Christmas messages reminds me how much I miss preaching this time of the year.
  • Saturday morning + Doughnuts + Granddaughter = Pure Happiness!
  • Something to Chew on; For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of government and peace there will be no end. ~ Isaiah 9:6-7

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Great to be back at FCC Kissimmee today, wonderful message on the "Anticipation of Christmas."
  • Blessed to a part of such a dynamic church.
  • Worship was inspiring today, truly appreciated Jeanette's solo this morning.
  • Cancer is trying to turn it up a notch, not going to happen!
  • So thankful for the many prayers.
  • My wife is one tough lady!
  • It is over, how could a college football season go by so fast?
  • Tough loss to Bama, but the Gators will be back.
  • Orlando traffic is ridiculous!
  • After spending four days traveling to the hospital, let me just say Valet parking is overrated - poor service and not very convenient.
  • I want a simple Christmas.
  • When will we see some cool weather?
  • Top 3 Christmas Movies on my list; It is a wonderful life, elf, Home alone.
  • Why can't we play reindeer games?
  • 2 weeks of school left another semester is soon to be over.
  • My friend Glenn is moving to Tennessee, happy for him, but really bummed about his move.
  • I will be home for the next 4 weeks, but I already have 5 speaking dates on my 2016 calendar.
  • Something to Chew on; The tough challenges we encounter make us stronger and wiser. With each victory we gain something of value; our character is strengthened. ~ Ellen J. Barrier
