Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at FCC Kissimmee today, wonderful message on evangelism.
  • Key take away, there are no chance encounters when it comes to being a witness for Christ!
  • Who knows if the person you tell about Jesus will transform a home, a street, a community?
  • This week we made the hardest decision we have ever had to make.I hate cancer.
  • Decision making is only possible and profitable when God is in the process.
  • Judging by the attention there has been for the passing of a musician this week, it is obvious people long for something more in this life.
  • Yes, God has set eternity in our heart and there is nothing this world can offer better than eternity with God.
  • I see a lot of brokenness in this world, and this I know God can put all the pieces back together, THIS IS OUR VICTORY.
  • Only one week of class left and then finals at JUFL - this year has gone by fast.
  • I am a fan of nurses.
  • I do not know what I would do without the love of Christian friends.
  • Something to Chew on; Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strength. ~ Charles Spurgeon

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
  • Continuing to Worship at FCC Kissimmee today. Jim preached from my favorite parable from Luke 15; the Lost Son.
  • Here is the beauty of scripture; I have preached several messages from this text and yet Jim brought out other items from the text!
  • The Word of God truly is living and active.
  • Singing the chorus of the old Hymn, "Softly and Tenderly" was a moving way to end this morning's message.
  • Kathy had to go back to the hospital Friday; I marvel at the skill and compassion of nurses.
  • So thankful for the many offers of help from the University and the Church, God's people are so good!
  • When I am tired, Savannah  has a way of lifting me up!
  • Heard of another church closing soon, Oh how it must Grieve our Heavenly Father.
  • Every day we are getting closer to His return; oh come Lord Jesus.
  • Good friends are a precious gift from God.
  • Something to Chew on; 1 Chronicles 29:11-12

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Great message from the life of Zacchaeus today at FCC Kissimmee
  • Hope for the friendless!
  • Have you noticed how many time Jesus stopped what he was doing to help the friendless?
  • Zacchaeus, the woman at the well, The thief on the cross, The woman caught in adultery.
  • Key point from today's message, would you allow your calendar to be open to God's agenda, rather than you own agenda and to do list?
  • Blue Bell Ice Cream is back!
  • Watching my friends up north endure one last blast of winter makes me appreciate our Florida weather.
  • Pass the Sunblock please!
  • All the kids were home this weekend - treating them for lunch is lot more expensive now - no Happy Meals for these guys!
  • Savannah always melts my heart, this time she invited me to her picnic in our family room. She is one creative kid! I believe she is gifted, just sayin'!
  • After working in the fundraising field for 5 years I can honestly say it is never about the money.
  • Just received a report from my Pandora Account for the month of March telling me the music I listened to the last 30 days, I really am a child of the 70's.
  • I still believe in miracles.
  • Something to Chew on;  There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. ~ John Holmes

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Powerful message this morning on the topic of hope - The Christian Faith is not a blind hope or a wishful hope, but a hope based on evidence!
  • Passionate preaching stirs the soul!
  • I am a firm believer that strong, biblical preaching is necessary to build a church both numerically and spiritually.
  • Visiting a Walmart on Sunday will test your patience!
  • Spent some time talking to church leaders this week, one of the big take-aways from our conversations - Unity is a must is a church is to move forward.
  • Too many churches are fractured today, thus they are ineffective in carrying out their mission.
  • Sense they are fractured, they are unsure of their mission.
  • Don't look now but many college football teams are having their Spring Game this week. I think I have Pigskin Withdrawal.
  • Top three things I hate about cancer... #1 It never stops destroying the body, #2 It drains a person of their energy, #3 It seems to be all consuming at times. We need to find a cure for this dreaded illness!
  • So thankful for so many prayer warriors.
  • This past week, I was looking over the early history of CFBC - wow, we were really pioneers.
  • Something to Chew on; The more seriously you take your growth, the more seriously people will take you. ~ John Maxwell
