Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning. Wonderful message on the importance of remembering what God has done for us and through us.
  • Jim wrapped up his series titled; "My Chains Are Gone"
  • The "CHAIN" visual during worship was very moving.
  • Key Though #1, The memorials found in scripture remind us God is constantly working through His people.
  • Key thought #2, Every time we participate in the Lord's Supper we are reminded of the love Christ has for us.
  • I love watching our high school students and college-age group lead worship!
  • Spent the weekend with 2 of my children - good times!
  • Tomorrow is Memorial Day, here is an old blog post of mine to remind us why tomorrow is important.
  • I learned how to play Backgammon this weekend. I must admit I had a wonderful teacher!
  • Speaking of Teachers, Many of them are wrapping up the school year this week, so I have 4 words for you - THANK YOU & ENJOY SUMMER!
  • I know I am getting old, I do not understand Mega Con.
  • Looks like the first tropical storm of the season fizzled out this weekend in Central Florida.
  • Watching the Indy 500 start never gets old.
  • The first Indy 500 took 7 hours to complete, today the race took a little over 3 hours. 500 miles in 3 hours, I can only imagine!
  • Something to Chew on; There is no wrong time to make the right decision. ~ Dalton McGuinty

Sunday Night Reflection

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at Zephyr Christian Church this morning on my favorite topic; Grace.
  • Key thought #1, We live in a world that does not want to hear the truth, but so desperately needs grace.
  • Key thought #2 When we choose to dispense grace to others, we are most recognizable by God.
  • Traditional worship this morning, and yes we sang my favorite Hymn - Holy, Holy, Holy. I want that song to be the first song I sing when I get to heaven!
  • Once again we learned the heart can be exceedingly wicked - Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
  • Savannah graduates from VPK this week, How can she be going to kindergarten in August?
  • Why does road construction take so long?
  • I feel for people who have migraines, they can really be debilitating. Hoping for a cure someday.
  • Looks like Florida's rainy season is upon us, what's next? Mosquito Season!
  • Dairy Queen's dipped cones have to be one of life's simple pleasures.
  • The bishop's message at the royal wedding was wonderful. So good to hear such a challenging message regarding married love!
  • Something to Chew on; If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world. ~ C. S. Lewis

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at First Baptist Church Orlando this weekend.
  • The message covered the life of Rahab - the message focused on the Legacy we leave our children.
  • Key quote; An inheritance is what we leave TO our children, a legacy is what we leave FOR our children.
  • The life of Rahab teaches all of us, anyone can have a positive legacy if they make the right choices.
  • Spent today with my mom and my brothers and some of their family. A great day together.
  • My special guest enjoyed the day as well, especially the TEST DRIVE!!
  • It is days like today one realizes family time is precious. By the way, DON'T BLINK
  • I know this was a tough day for my children, but I am so proud of them!
  • I had a God moment this week at the mechanic's shop, You never know what a kind word or gesture will mean to a hurting person.
  • BTW there are hurting people all around us, we just need to open our eyes and have an open heart.
  • Something to Chew on; The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character and faith. ~ Billy Graham
