Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church today.
  • Great message on the Abundance of Grace!
  • I do not think we will ever comprehend the gift of grace until we see Jesus face to face.
  • From today's message; With Karma, you get what you deserve, with Christianity Jesus gets what you deserve.
  • Grace cannot be manufactured or inherited, grace can only be received.
  • When I think about all the hurting people in the world, this video reminds me of the importance of a healthy church in today's culture. Thanks for sharing Suzy.
  • Wonderful time with the family at Thanksgiving this past Thursday, so blessed!
  • Sharing memories of my dad at our Thanksgiving was wonderful.
  • This was my first year without my dad at Thanksgiving, for my friends who have not had their fathers join them at Thanksgiving for a number of years, I understand your loss.
  • From last week's devotional thoughts; If you want God's best, you have to say no, not just to things that are wrong, but even to second best - whatever's merely good instead of truly great.
  • Something to Chew on; And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of Jesus Christ,  giving thanks to God the Father through Him. ~ Paul, Colossians 3:17

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Vero Christian Church this morning for their Missions Emphasis Weekend.
  • Wonderful message regarding the Holy Spirit's work in our life
  • Steve's object lesson was spot on regarding how the Holy Spirit is with us in the good times and in the bad times.
  • Several alumni worship at Vero Christian, so good to see so many plugged into ministry.
  • Quote from this week's devotional; When was the last time you got outside your comfort zone physically, spiritually, or relationally? You tell me the last time you were uncomfortable, and I’ll tell you the last time you grew! Growth only happens when we put ourselves in uncomfortable situations. ~ Mark Batterson
  • There is something exhilarating about driving to the east coast so early in the morning you witness a Florida Sunrise, Watching a sunrise never gets old!
  • Just asking, do the people who rank the college football teams actually watch the games?
  • Thursday is Thanksgiving, I WILL NOT shop at any store open on Thursday - can't we take a break from crass materialism for one day?
  • The one thing I want to make sure I do this holiday season is to be aware of the hurting people around me, My prayer; God let see people how You see people!
  • Turkey or Ham, the struggle is real!
  • The average caloric intake on Thanksgiving day is 4,500, better break out the stretchy pants!
  • The greatest fear of the holidays? There will be a shortage of White Chocolate Covered Oreos.
  • Attending a birthday party with 29 six-year-olds can be traumatic. Happy Birthday, Savannah.
  • Something to Chew on; We worry less if we praised more. Thanksgiving is the enemy of discontent and dissatisfaction ~ Harry Ironside

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at South Lake Christian Church, Groveland this morning on the topic of Grace.
  • Church has two worship opportunities each Sunday morning, both opportunities were unique and inspiring.
  • Andy has a wonderful relationship with the congregation, he truly has a pastor's heart.
  • We had a great time at the Alumni Gathering this past Saturday, great to reconnect with so many friends.
  • I am EXTREMELY blessed by the many relationships I have in my life.
  • Will this election ever come to a close, well at least they are no longer airing political ads.
  • Gourmet cupcakes really hit the spot, Oh so good!
  • We are only weeks away from White Chocolate Covered Oreos.
  • JUFL students are headed to Cincinnati this week for ICOM, many will come away with a desire to be a missionary, can't wait to hear the stories from the week!
  • So thankful for the service my father, uncles, and brother displayed by serving in the armed forces. Thank You!
  • It is only 6:50 pm why does it feel like it is 10 pm?
  • Something to Chew On; Don't count the years, count the memories. ~ Anonymus

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Student minister, Lance brought the message today. Great thoughts about what we fear, Question; what are you afraid of?
  • I have been doing a character study of the life of David, it is amazing how God used this flawed man. He truly was a man after God's own heart.
  • David's life is characterized by his wise decisions and his foolish choices.
  • I seldom receive much mail, but for the last two weeks, the political parties have flooded my mailbox, and it really has not made an impact on how I vote. However, their mail has filled my recycle bin.
  • One thing I will say, all these political ads have been a financial boom for the printing business and the USPS.
  • Today my dad would have been 81, really miss talking to him. He was so wise.
  • Hosted a lunch with community partners today at JUFL, so thankful for the companies who helped us out at the beginning of the school year.
  • I find Broadway plays highly entertaining.
  • I believe music is the language of the heart!
  • Dark at 6:00 this evening. Yech!
  • What do you mean this was week 10 of the college football season.
  • Can we at least celebrate Thanksgiving before we celebrate Christmas?
  • I cannot explain it, but there is something comfortable about a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich and a cold glass of milk.
  • Something to Chew on; The more we trust in God, the more mature we become and the more we will enjoy His faithfulness, caring heart, and wise counsel. ~ Bamigboye Olurotimi
