Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Kissimmee Chrisitan Church today.
  • Jim wrapped up his series titled Unveiled focusing on 2 Corinthians 3. A good series of messages for the world we live in today.
  • Love watching our college students lead worship.
  • Three weeks worth of assignments completed in my online course and I am learning so much, I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
  • Once again I witnessed incredible generosity this week.
  • Eight years ago this month, I walked away from the located ministry, there have been a lot of changes in my life these last 8 years. Some changes have been good, others have been painful, but through it all, God has walked beside me!
  • I had an opportunity to see Hamilton last night, the play was the most unique play I have ever seen!
  • I am watching the Super Bowl on a cruise ship next Sunday!
  • So thankful I have someone in my life who challenges me, encourages me, listens to me and reminds me what is really important in this life. Thank you Suzy, you are the best!
  • I wish I had a good Chili recipe, tonight is the night for some good chili.
  • Something to Chew on; Serving is not a strategy. It is not another church program. It is our identity as followers of Jesus. ~ David Uth

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Great message on characteristics of a Spirit-Filled Life. Jim, you were spot on today.
  • There really is a difference between being spirited and being Spirit Filled!
  •  Do you know the difference?
  • The longer I live, the more thankful I am God is in control.
  • When a person stops wrestling with God and allows Him to be in control of one's life there is both joy and peace.
  • Today my daughter turns 26, how can my youngest child be 26? Listen, DON'T BLINK!
  • Looking forward to tonight's celebration, All the kids will be here!
  • Who knew there were so many senior citizen discounts!
  • Wind Chills tomorrow expected between 31 and 34, I thought we were going to escape Winter!
  • Playoffs, Who you got? I leaning toward the Chiefs and the Saints.
  • I miss college game day!
  • Experienced a new type of dining for me last night, different but fun! Good food and really good company.
  • I am on the hunt for some girl scout cookies, looking for thin mints!
  • Something to Chew on; You need God's guidance in everything you do. One of the hardest things in life is knowing which bridge to cross and which bridge to burn. ~ Anonymous

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at First Christian Church Arcadia this morning on the subject of the Authority of God's Word.
  • Ignoring Scriptures is much like ignoring one's GPS, Ignoring your GPS will get you physically lost, ignore scripture and you will find yourself spiritually lost.
  • I do not know who said it but I believe it is true - The Bible will keep you away from sin, however, sin will keep you away from your Bible.
  • Dave and Amy are doing a wonderful job in this small community.
  • Honestly, I tried to make the last box of White Chocolate Oreos last until February. It is going to be a long time until next December!
  • Finished up my first book of 2019, "Not Your Parents Offering Plate, a New Vision for Financial Stewardship" Every church leader should read this book if they want to understand people's attitudes, motives, and priorities toward giving today.
  • An afternoon at Disney is always made better when you spend it with special people. That is what made Saturday a great day!
  • Something to Chew on; The Holy Scriptures are our letters from home. ~ St. Augustine

  • Healthy churches understand each week eternity is in the balance.
  • Now that the holidays are over, here comes the local traffic once again!

  • Loving senior citizen discounts.
  • Something to Chew on; In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
