Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped on the Brilliance of the Seas cruise ship this morning.
  • Wonderful message by Dr. David Eubanks from the life of Joseph.
  • The message was inspiring and so timely!
  • Watching members of the cruise ship share communion with us this morning was special. I wonder how many times a year they have the opportunity to partake in communion. I am so thankful we were able to provide this service to them!
  • I am thankful for the staff, faculty, and students of JUFl who served our senior saints early Saturday morning as we left for the cruise. You guys are the BEST!
  • Observation #1, about our cruise, some people have tattoos in some unusual places and in the words of Forrest Gump, "That is all I going to say about that!"
  • Observations #2, There is fierce competition in the Belly Flop contest!
  • Something to Chew on; Christianity is not a set of teachings to learn, it is a person to follow. ~ H. and R. Blackaby Experiencing God Day by Day
  • One last thought; Karaoke at 10:00 tonight, this could be fun!

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at First Christian Church of Babson Park this morning.
  • Kicked off their Faith Promise Emphasis with a message from Ephesians 3:20.
  • Key thoughts, There is a need for missions and a prerequisite for missions.
  • Questions asked; The world cries for you, do you cry for the world?
  • If the heart is right, missions will become your passion.
  • Remember, missions is not only across the ocean; sometimes it is across the street or in the office or at school and in the breakroom at work.
  • With this week's message, I complete a 10 week stretch of preaching. While preaching has been both challenging and invigorating, I am looking forward to being back at my home church!
  • From this week's devotional; We are not saved from our sins so we will simply qualify for heaven, God delivered us so we may have a relationship with Him.
  • Next week SNR may be a little late as I will be on the high seas with 149 senior citizens - I love my job.
  • The number 1 activity I am looking forward to on our cruise - READING! I already have my book in the suitcase!
  • Papa (me) and Savannah have a new adventure coming up in 2 weeks - I can't wait!
  • How can January be half over?
  • Sock rings are a lifesaver! If you are not aware of sock rings you can check out Amazon.
  • I know I am late to the party, but I am enjoying my firestick.
  • Hey Florida friends, Winter is coming this week, hang in there we will get through this together!
  • For my northern friends, the struggle is real.
  • Something to Chew on; Big Assignments requires big character, God will give you a responsibility in proportion to the size of your character.  ~ Henry and Richard Blackaby

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at Port St. Lucie Christian Church today on the topic of grace!
  • Key thought #1, If we are are going to make a difference in this world today, we must dispense grace to a hurting world.
  • Key thought #2, You cannot fake grace for when grace is absent from the body of Christ, the world will notice something is not right.
  • Yesterday's Mosaic Roundtable was inspiring.
  • The worship and the teaching reminded us of the variety of gifts God has for his church.
  • Yes we did see a preview of heaven; every tribe, tongue, and nation.
  • The song "Goodness of God" runs through my mind a lot! You can hear it here.
  • From this week's devotional; If the Son of God required a night of prayer in order to determine the Father's mind, how long might it take us in prayer to clearly determine God's will?
  • Great visit with my boys today, great lunch and a great time playing trivia games.
  • Google maps amaze me!
  • White Chocolate Oreos found White Chocolate Oreos gone!
  • My daughter turns 27 next Monday, where did the time go?
  • Tomorrow evening I predict the Tigers will win the College Football National Championship, which Tigers, I am not sure!
  • Something to Chew on; When we follow God's direction we will witness things happening in our lives that can only be explained by his powerful presence. ~ Experiencing God, Day by Day.

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at First Christian Church of Cocoa Beach this morning.
  • The message focused on walking a different way in 2020, from Ephesians 4:1-3
  • Our walk is defined by our choices.
  • Because we wear the name Christian, our walk should be different from the way the world walks.
  • Do we CHOOSE to walk differently than the way the world walks?
  • Today I took part in a prayer time for a man who has been blind since he was a year old, he has served a public school in Cocoa Beach for 25 years, what a wonderful example of serving in spite of one's limitations. I am humbled by his service.
  • Unfortunately, I had to officiate a funeral this weekend, while I was honored to be asked I was reminded once again the devastation cancer brings to our lives.
  • Tina fought a valiant fight with her battle with cancer, today she is victorious!
  • Cancer can take away a lot of things, but it can NEVER take away our standing with the Lord!
  • From this week's devotional; Jesus does not ask for our commitments, He asks for our love.
  • I continue to be thankful for the people God brings into my life!
  • Is it my imagination, but did the Christian season go by so quickly this year?
  • Found some white chocolate Oreos - all is right in the world once again!
  • Only one college football game left. But it is going to be a good one!
  • Teacher friends, rest tonight school starts back up this week. But hey, Spring Break will be here soon!
  • Something to Chew on; Resolution number one; I will live for God. Resolution number 2, If no one else does, I still will. ~ Johnathan Edwards
