Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Ross brought the message on the Advancement of the Gospel from Philippians 1. His message focused on the importance of training men and women for ministry.
  • We were able to see the baptismal waters stir once again. This never ever gets old.
  • Tony gave a wonderful illustration of the importance of our name in Christ during our time of communion.
  • Yes, I am posting early today as I will be attending the Christian Financial Resources 40+ Gala tonight.
  • I remember when CFR was first introduced at the Florida Christian Convention.
  • CFR is making a difference in Florida as well as other areas of our nation.
  • I attended a funeral of a dear man this past Friday, Pat was a faithful man of God.
  • I am sending too many sympathy cards lately.
  • After this week, I am so thankful for Jeremy Camp's song there will be a day. With all of this pain, I am looking forward to THE DAY!
  • 4 weeks!
  • Looks like another Winter is in the books for Florida!
  • Something to Chew on; Choose to focus your time, energy, and conversation around people who inspire you, support you, and help you grow into your happiest, strongest, wisest self. ~ Karen Sairnabsihn

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church today.
  • Jim's message on commitment was spot on.
  • We had the opportunity to see the baptismal waters stir once again, this never gets old.
  • The worship team did a wonderful job with very short notice, thank you Kellie for your transparency today.
  • Only Jim could share an illustration from the life of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer in February!
  • So good to be back home this week after a few weeks of travel.
  • I made a diligent search this weekend and could not find any football games on TV. It is going to be a long time until September.
  • I am reading through the New Testament in 90 days, this week's reading was from 1 Corinthians 15 and focused on the importance of the resurrection and what it means for us as believers.
  • I am thankful for the many congratulations I have received over the last couple of weeks, I truly am blessed!
  • I can't wait for my friends to meet Lori.
  • Something to Chew on; I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. ~ Paul, Philippians 3:14

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I preached at Vero Chrisitan Church this morning on the topic of an Uncommon Place.
  • Reliving the story of how CFBC/FCC/JULF got started is always interesting to the audience and is heartwarming to me.
  • My whole life changed when I chose to attend CFBC.
  • I preached 3 times this morning. My hat goes off to the minters who preach 3+ times each Sunday.
  • I always look forward to my time at Vero Christian Church, so many good friends are a part of the church family at VCC.
  • It is also good to spend time with my good friend Steve.
  • Well, tonight wraps up the NFL season, who are you picking for the game?
  • I am going for the Underdog! Go Bengals!
  • I read this prediction on Facebook regarding the game. Tigers are not mentioned in scripture, but the Rams are mentioned throughout the Old Testament but they always get slaughtered, could this be a prophecy? :)
  • Watching the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat is what makes the Olympics must-see TV.
  • I understand she has said yes to the dress.
  • Something to Chew on; This is the key to success, Focus 90% of your time on solutions and only 10% of your time on problems. ~ Anthony Angelo

Sunday Night Reflections (Monday Edition)

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I had a wonderful time in Michigan this past week.
  • Yes, I went for a visit to ask a special lady a very important question.
  • She said Yes!
  • I think my life is about to change.
  • BTW, she had a box of White Chocolate Oreos waiting for me when I arrived in Michigan, she gets me!
  • Once again I am reminded how blessed I am with so many good friends. I am thankful for every one of you!
  • I do not know how people survive in our northern states in the winter. I arrived on Wednesday to 10 inches of snow and below freezing temperatures. Returned home to a balmy 55!
  • I was thrilled to see my daughter serve on the worship team of Central Christian Church, St. Pete's worship team last week. #Prouddad!
  • I reread the gospels during the month of January, I was reminded again of the wonder grace of love Jesus had for and with people. O What a Savior!
  • Something to Chew on; Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing activity but in doing it. ~ Greg Anderson
