A Few thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Jim preached on the goodness of God
  • First time in a very long time I was able to worship with all three of my children, two daughters-in-law, and a granddaughter, yes, God is good!
  • I am getting Married Today! It is going to be a good day.
  • Yes, God is good!
  • March Madness has been great so far, this is why they play the games #assumenothing!
  • Not much else to reflect about today, gotta get to the church on time!

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at East Tampa Christian Church this morning.
  • JUFL's New Creation provided the message today via music and drama.
  • We are so blessed to have Ruth and Dirk lead New Creation, there's none better!
  • The East Tampa Church was extremely friendly and welcoming.
  • Coming Home from Tampa today we were part of the I-4 Parade, AKA Traffic, Traffic, Traffic. Does everyone visit Florida on Spring Break?
  • Students are celebrating Spring Break this week at JUFL. Hey, students don't blink, commencement is only 47 days away!
  • 1 Week!
  • Yep, Life Change Ahead!
  • How is your Bracket?
  • BTW, who are the St. Peter Peacocks? Sorry UK fans, I know you did not see that coming, neither did anyone else!
  • Watching the "Davids" take on the "Goliaths" is the best part of March Madness, on any given night, anything is possible!
  • I celebrated JT's birthday last night, I am so proud of him!
  • Loved getting together with two groups of alumni this past week at Disney and at Hemingways in Melbourne - Good Times!
  • Something to Chew on; At the end of the day, you cannot control the results; you can only control your effort level and your focus. ~ Ben Zobrist

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I worshiped at Anchor Christian Church in Bonita Springs today.
  • It was a wonderful time of worship this morning, Robert and his team set the stage for the entire service!
  • This weekend the church focused on its mission partners.
  • It was great seeing a church make missions giving a priority.
  • I also did something I have not done in a long time, helped teach the Middle School/High School class this morning. I felt so old!
  • A 3 1/2 hour drive down to Bonita Spring Saturday plus Daylight Savings Time and a 4-hour road trip today makes for one tired traveler!
  • This week is a milestone in my blog, this is the 600th Sunday Night Reflections. That means I have been REFLECTING for over 11 years.
  • I often wonder if it Is time to stop reflecting.
  • Fun Fact, it will take 8 more years to reach 1,000 reflections.
  • March Madness is here, so fill out those brackets.
  • Attended Young at Heart days at Lake Aurora Chrisitan Camp this week, it was a great time sharing with some long-time friends.
  • 2 weeks.
  • Something to Chew on; Focus on remedies, not faults. ~ Jack Nicklaus

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day,,,

  • Worshiped at Northside Christian Church of Fruitland Park representing JUFL this morning.
  • The church has a very warm and friendly attitude.
  • Northeast Christian Church enjoys singing.
  • Here is something I have not seen in a long time, the minister and his wife sang a duet as part of the worship this morning.
  • Just in case you are wondering, that will never happen in the Tison household!
  • Eddie's message focused on 1 Peter 1 and the living hope we have in Christ.
  • Just a reminder, Hope can be defined as He Offers Peace Everlasting.
  • 3 weeks!
  • Wordle is addicting - who knew there were so many 5 letter words?
  • Daylight Savings Time is next week, I do not know about you, but I cannot afford to lose an hour next weekend.
  • Next Sunday we begin to find out who will have their "One Shining Moment!" Get your brackets ready.
  • Something to Chew on; Focus is a matter of deciding what things you are not going to do. ~ John Carmack
