Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at Zephyr Christian Church in Zephyrhills this morning.
  • Preached on the Uncommon Community of Johnson University Florida.
  • It is always great to recall our history. The leadership of Fred, the generosity of Clifford, and the faith of so many people brought Nancy's dream into reality.
  • Attended a state preacher's meeting this week. It was thrilling to hear about the many victories on Easter Sunday.
  • It was also good to hear about the diversity of victories as well; baptisms, record attendance, reconnecting with ministries, ALL GOOD!
  • 4 weeks
  • Wedding pictures arrived this week, thanks, Amber!
  • This is a busy week at JUFL, final week of teaching, awards chapel, baccalaureate, yes the school year is wrapping up.
  • I have 3 air flights over the next 8 weeks, I hope all the flights go smoothly #nocancellations.
  • Great time watching Miss Savannah play softball this past Saturday, she is growing up too fast!
  • Discovered a new BBQ restaurant in St. Cloud Saturday, thank you Jonathan and Megan for the tip!

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Jim's message focus on the "I wills" of Jesus. I will be born, I will die, I will rise from the dead, and I will return.
  • Wonderful message for the Easter season!
  • Watched the baptismal waters stir once again. Believe me, this NEVER gets old.
  • Watching people have their sins washed away is one of the great joys of the Christian life!
  • Even though it has been 11 years, I still miss preaching on Resurrection Sunday.
  • Our Good Friday service was very moving and pointed all of us to the cross. Thank you, Tony, the choir, and all who made this a meaningful service.
  • Why are White Chocolate Oreos only available during the Christmas season?
  • 3 Weeks and all is good! Very Good!
  • The Blue and Orage game gave us a preview of what the Gator Nation can expect in the upcoming season! Yes, College Football will be back soon.
  • I gave a tour of the JUFL campus this week to a church's mission board, I love sharing how God used individuals and churches to make then CFBC a reality. I fear we are forgetting how special those early years were to the founding of the college. May the Zeal Never Cease!

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Jim's message focused on the importance of Truth in a culture that refuses to define truth.
  • His message was spot on as he demonstrated how important Truth is to every issue in life.
  • Today I met with a church leader seeking a new minister, praying the search will be brief and they will find a leader to lead the congregation in the next season of ministry.
  • Imagine Banquet was successful. From the dinner to the video testimony to the challenge before us, it was exciting to see a number of people excited about the future of JUFL.
  • Who knew President Smith was such a piano player?
  • Two weeks into marriage and apples have replaced the Oreos!
  • This weekend I experienced a kind act of generosity at a movie theater. Generosity shows up in unexpected places.
  • The Cruise Life is for me!
  • The sunsets, the food, the entertainment, the sun rises, and yes, the ice cream!
  • The best thing about Cruising is the ability to unplug from everything! No TV, No Cell Phone, and Yes, NO EMAIL!
  • There are only three weeks of school left at JUFL! Hey students, it is time to leave the Cafe and head to the Library.
  • I was really pulling for Coach K.
  • Something to Chew on; Focus is a matter of deciding what things you are NOT going to do. John Carmack
