Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Alliance Bible Fellowship this morning in Boone NC.
  • A wonderful message from the life of the Biblical hero Caleb.
  • Question; Are you living a life Fully devoted to Christ or Mostly devoted to Christ. There is a difference.
  • I am broken-hearted by the events in Texas this week. The world truly needs Jesus.
  • I cannot imagine the pain these parents feel tonight.
  • No child should ever have to climb out of their classroom window to find safety.
  • Spending the weekend with my friends Marvin and Debbie in their home in NC. This is a wonderful place to relax, unplug, and be refreshed.
  • Looking forward to returning sometime!
  • I am waiting for a special phone call from Lori, hopefully, it will be this week, yes a new baby is on the way!
  • Miss Savannah made the all-A honor roll, congratulations young lady, Papa is so proud of you!
  • The first week of Senior Saints in the Smokies is over, two more weeks to go!
  • We are less than 100 days until the college football season begins!
  • Something to Chew on; It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light. ~ Aristotle Onassis

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Jim did a great job preaching from Proverbs 17:22, tying the message into the importance of mental health.
  • I have to agree with him, it is an UNPLEASANT Road!
  • I had the opportunity to worship with my daughter this morning. I count that as a blessing as I know some parents do not have that opportunity.
  • I love to hear her singing praises to our Heavenly Father.
  • A piece of my heart is in Michigan tonight!
  • Congratulations Brady and Kayla, it was nice to be a part of your spectacle day.
  • Spending the next 10 days in Tennessee at Johnson University with the Senior Saints in the Smokies Event.
  • 10 days is a long time to live out of a suitcase.
  • I hate going through the scanner at the Airport. Empty your pockets... Take off your shoes... Take off your belt... Take off your watch... Seriously!
  • So thankful I have such a good house/dog sitter, Jackie, you are the best!
  • $65 to fill up the car - insane!
  • News from Michigan, the baby countdown has begun.
  • You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. ~ Mark Twain

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Wrapping up my vacation in Flint Michigan today. Heading back home tomorrow.
  • Great visiting Lori's family, so good to spend time with her family.
  • Attended my first all men's baby shower last evening. Unlike a ladies' baby shower, ours was held at a sports bar. Good Times!
  • Another cold front is headed to Michigan Wednesday, I am getting out of town just in time!
  • However, I must say, making s'mores around the campfire on a cool Michigan night is great.
  • Here is a Fun Fact we are 192 days away from Thanksgiving, 223 days away from Christmas, and wait for it... 103 days until the college football season kicks off.
  • Congratulations to my friend/supervisor/boss Richard, he received his final college Degree this past weekend! That is Dr. Richard from now on!
  • Network TV canceled 22 shows this week, thanks to streaming, I did not recognize 80% of the shows canceled.
  • I got to hang out with my good friends Bill and Holy for a few hours last week, so good to reconnect!  Luke, it was good to see you as well, Hey Brenna where were you?
  • I am scoring a 3 or 4 on wordle each day, I have scored a 2 one time! Who knew there were so many five-letter words?
  • Something to Chew on; Over the last few weeks, I have received news regarding several of my friends who are dealing with cancer. Here is a reminder for each of us to focus on as we walk the cancer path; Cancer is so limited, it cannot corrode faith, shatter hope, kill friendships, cripple love, destroy peace, silence courage, or conquer the spirit. Know this, in the end, cancer will be defeated. Revelation 21:3-4

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshipped at West Court Street Church of God in Flint Michigan this morning.
  • The message focused on the parable of the 10 virgins and the wedding feast from Matthew's gospel.
  • Interesting topic for mother's day.
  • I am spending 10 days in Michigan with Lori's family, Good Times!
  • Cool nights, outdoor fire pits, new family, and s'mores, what a wonderful way to spend a weekend
  • Did I mention cool nights, this Florida boy is not used to weather in the 50's in May!
  • Another graduation is in the books, CFBC, FCC, and JUFL now have over 2,100 graduates.
  • We will not know the Kingdom impact of our college in Kissimmee until we see Jesus face to face, but needless to say, it will be substantial.
  • What do people gain from hacking your Facebook account?
  • Something to Chew on; I believe that in life, you have to give things your best shot, and do your best. you have to focus on what needs to get done and do the right thing, not the popular thing. ~ David Cameron

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • I continue to introduce Lori to my many friends at the church. There are so many kind people at KCC.
  • Once again the baptismal waters were stirred, this is always exciting to see.
  • Great message by Jim from John 21. Jim is right so many churches need to cast their nets on "the other side"
  • I fear too many churches are not even putting their nets in the water.
  • So good to see Patrick and Stephanie highlighted in the latest issue of the Johnson Magazine. They are doing some wonderful things as school teachers.
  • Lori and I are slowly converting my bachelor home into a place for a married couple.  Out with the old in with the new!
  • I gave a tour of JUFL to another church this past week. It is always good to share how JUFL was founded. May the Zeal Never Cease!
  • I got my eighties fix on this past Friday by seeing Berlin in concert. It is amazing how some groups can keep up the energy level 40 years later. Good Times
  • I cannot go to Epcot without seeing the American Adventure.
  • I spent some time with our Summer Recruitment Team this past Saturday, praying they have a safe and successful summer recruiting high school students to JUFL.
  • Something to Chew on; At the end of the day, you cannot control the results; you can only control your effort level and your focus. ~ Ben Zobrist
