Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • We worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Jim finished the first chapter of Philippians this morning.
  • Key Point #1, We are created for eternity
  • Key Point #2, Eternity is a primary motivation in our lives and must become our ultimate point of reference.
  • Returned to the Church tonight for a gospel concert, music truly is the language of the heart.
  • It was a perfect day.
  • The traffic in Kissimmee is strangling this town! BTW, it takes more than honking your horn to make the traffic move faster.
  • Extreme Ownership completed, now on to the next book, Atomic Habits!
  • Something to Chew On; Not everyone will become a great leader, but everyone can become a better leader, ~ John Maxwell

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • We worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Jim continued his series from Philippians.
  • Jim's personalizing of 1 Corinthians 13, is an excellent guide for self-reflection.
  • First Sunday without NFL football, UGH
  • BTW, I cannot believe people paid seven million dollars for a 30-second super bowl commercial this year. Creativty has left the building!
  • We are in the process of making vacation plans, time to get away.
  • Our life group is currently studying the life of Joshua.
  • Joshua is a great example of faithfulness in spite of difficult circumstances.
  • If you are going to choose between faithfulness or success, trust me on this, always choose faithfulness.
  • I should finish "Extreme Ownership"  this week,  So thankful for the recommendation from friends in Jacksonville.
  • This book takes a different approach to leadership, well worth reading.
  • Something to Chew on; Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street. ~ Zig Ziglar

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • We worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Jim began a new message in the book of Philippians. Great message on finding joy in this life
  • Key Point from the message, God is transforming us daily, We are not perfect but we are better than we were yesterday!
  • I attended the state minister's meeting this past Thursday, so good to see and hear what God is doing through the many ministries around the state.
  • Bob Russell's message Thursday morning was a reminder of how difficult it can be to lead a local congregation today.
  • Pray for your minister.
  • I would like to be back on our cruise ship today!
  • The book"Extreme Ownership" is rocking my world when it comes to leadership. One of the best books on leadership I have read in a long time.
  • Tonight is the end of this year's football season, I hope it is a good game.
  • Will we ever see the Fins back in the big game?
  • Speaking of football, the NIL is changing College Football forever.
  • Did you walk to and from school as a child? This generation of students will never be able to tell their kids, "They walked 5 miles, in the snow, uphill both ways!" Oh, what they are missing!
  • Something to Chew on; Being a leader is like being a lady, if you have to tell someone you are, you are probably not! ~ John Maxwell

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • We worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • David Stine, Executive Director of IDES brought the message this today.
  • The message focused on IDES' mission to bring Help and Hope.
  • Tony and the team led a great worship time this morning.
  • KCC had a small problem this morning, a full parking lot, what was a great problem to experience.
  • I am looking forward to the state minister's meeting this week, this will be a great time to connect with ministers from around the state.
  • We wrapped up another study in our Life Group this week, Jesus Lord of My Personality, by Bob Russell. This little book was a wonderful study regarding how to change one's life from negative emotions to a positive outlook.
  • After leading 181 people on our cruise trip, I need a cruise to recuperate.
  • If not a cruise, maybe a beach trip with Lori will do!
  • No football today, but take heart it is only 214 days until the new season.
  • Something to Chew on; There can be no leadership when there is no team. ~ Jacko Willink
