 A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I preached at New Life Christian Church in Wildwood this morning.
  • The message focused on how to be people of the second chance. A look at the actions of the father in the parable of the Prodigal Son. 
  • The key point of the message, is we have all received a second chance through Jesus.
  • NLCC has one of the best greeting ministries I have experienced, The church is both friendly and helpful. when guests arrive. 
  • I don't recommend movies very often, however, The Boys in the Boat is very inspiring.
  • Florida weather; 80s one day, 60s the next day, can't we just compromise and have it be in the 70s all the time?
  • Something to Chew on; The secret of your success is determined by your daily agenda. ~ John Maxwell

 A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • We worshiped at Kissimmee Christian church this morning.
  • Jim continued his series, winning the War in 2024.
  • We were able to see the baptismal waters stir once again!
  • Watching a teenager give his life to Christ reminds all of us the church has a future.
  • Key Point in the message, We cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we perceive it.
  • We had a quick trip to Tampa today to celebrate Bethany's B-Day! Good Times
  • When your wife is a Detroit fan and you are in the land of the Buccaneers, you must cheer in secret! 
  • I had an opportunity to hear three of our alumni speak last week, it was good to hear them preach the Word.
  • To my northern friends, Florida is experiencing a winter season this year.
  • NFL Playoffs! YES!
  • Something to Chew on; I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion. Alexander the Great.

Sunday Night Reflections

 A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • We worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • It was good to be back home with our church family.
  • Jim continued his series winning the war in 2024.
  • Key point of the message; If you want to win the war, you have to be willing to rewire your thought patterns, literally rewrite the way you think.
  • There is a big difference between a rut and a trench. Build a trench!
  • The fins season is over, but it was a great ride! Looking forward to the 2024 season!
  • Hey NFL, Streaming playoff games is not good.
  • I was asked this week, What do I enjoy most about my job? answer; watching people model generosity in unexpected ways.
  • Generous people are gracious people.
  • John Maxwell's book, "The 16 Undeniable Laws of Communication" is a great read.
  • Law #4 is a must for everyone wishing to communicate well.
  • I get the opportunity to hear three of our alumni preach this week. I am looking forward to hearing how they handle their topics.
  • Did someone say it is Girl Scout cookie season!
  • Something to Chew on;  God's primary will for your life is not the achievements you accrue, it is the person you become. ~ John Ortberg

Sunday Night Reflections

 A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • After a 7 week absence, we returned to Kissimmee Christian Church for worship this morning.
  • So good to be back home.
  • Jim's message focused on the importance of how we think.
  • Key thought number 1,  Winning the mind battle means replacing old, harmful thoughts with new life-giving thoughts.
  • Key Point #2, Remove the lie and replace it with truth.
  • Christmas is finally over at Casa Tison and I can say I am amply stocked with White Chocolate Oreos.
  • JUFL Students return for the last semester tomorrow. I never thought I would be typing those words.
  • 1 more game left in the NFL season, all I can say to the fins is, "Just Win Baby!"
  • Something to Chew on; Most people miss opportunity because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. ~ Thomas Edison
