Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I preached at Citrus Ridge Church this morning.
  • The people at CRC are so gracious!
  • The message wast titled, "The Empty Chair at Thanksgiving." The message focused on the attitudes of the older brother in Luke 15.
  • There are three reasons why the older brother could not express gratitude; The older brother was performance driven, blinded by possessions, and relationaly distant.
  • The Common Grace of God reminds us, we are blessed beyond belief.
  • The baptismal waters stirred once again at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning. Good Stuff.
  • I am praying for the ministry transition at KCC. I know God has the right man to lead His church.
  • Thank you Jim and Jeanette! You both have made a difference in the lives of so many people.
  • Winter came early for Florida this week!
  • I was pleasantly surprised on Saturday. The Orange and Blue came through!
  • This is the last week of November. Time is moving way too FAST.
  • Looking forward Thursday; Family, Food, and Football! Yes, It is the most wonderful time of the year.
  • Something to Chew on; therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. ~ Hebrews 12:28-29

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I preached at Citrus Ridge Church this morning
  • Message titled, "What Jesus would NOT do! Jesus would not avoid a dirty job." from John 13.
  • Key Point #1, Jesus washed his disciples' feet even though he knew his disciples would abandon him hours later.
  • Key Point #2, Are you willing to do thedirty jobs in your home, church, and community?
  • Key Point #3, Until we get a handle on serving others we will never understand what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
  • We also attended Kissimmee Christian Church today. Jim preached on the Church Unstoppable from 1 Peter 4.
  • Only 2 more messages left for Jim, He will be missed!
  • November is Birthday Month in the Tison house. Happy Birthday to David, Savannah, Lori, and Jimmy . So glad each of you are in my life ~ Blessed!
  • How can Thanksgiving be a week from Thursday?
  • Only a couple of weeks remain in the college football season. Yes, I have been surprised and I have been disappointed, but as the slogan goes, Wait 'til next year!
  • Something to Chew on, the more you practice the art of thankfulness, the more you have to be thankful for. ~ Norman Vincent Peale

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I preached at Citrus Ridge Church in Davenport this morning.

  • Key Point #1, Heaven is our prepared home.
  • Key Point #2, Heaven will be our eternal home where all will be revealed.
  • I had the opportunity to speak at River Christian Church in Fleming Island on Thursday morning. Such an encouraging group of believers.
  • I am often amazed at the generosity of others.
  • We had a farewell party for the Book family tonight, lots of laughs, lots of tears and a wonderful time of saying farewell to our minister.
  • My oldest son turned 44 this past week, where did the time go?
  • So proud of the man he has become.
  • Remember to Thank a veteran for their service, tomorrow AND every day!
  • Dark at six, ready for bed at seven!
  • Why can't we have Fall in Florida?
  • Rough Day on the gridiron for Florida teams yesterday.
  • Something to Chew on: You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you. ~ John Bunyan

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • We worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Jim preached a message titled, Timeless Truths in Ever-Changing times.
  • A great message for Christians to remember, We have a savior who never changes and we have God's word that never changes as well. This should be a great comfort for us.
  • Only two more days until the political ads are off the air!
  • So much is at stake Tuesday, and yet regardless of the outcome, Jesus is still Lord.
  • I attended the funeral of one of my uncles Monday. He will be missed.
  • Following the funeral, 43 members of our family met at Cracker Barrel for dinner. Good Times!
  • I am blessed to have a large family.
  • Tuesday evening we attended a dinner for Carenet  Pregnancy Center. They are doing a wonderful work in Indian River County.
  • Why are the Dolphins not on TV today?
  • I am not ready for it to be dark at 6:00 pm.
  • Something to Chew on; Be faithful in small things because it is in them your strength lies. ~ Mother Teresa
