Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • We worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
  • Heath preached one of the most powerful yet probing messages on prayer today.
  • At times, God's word comforts the afflicted and at other times His words afflict the comfortable.
  • That was the case this morning.
  • When was the last time you prayed for something that only God could answer?
  • Last week was our volunteer appreciation banquet at KCC, so good to see so many people involved in ministry.
  • Hats off to our staff for putting this event together.
  • There is traffic and then there is Osceola County traffic.
  • We are less than 100 day to the start of the College Football season.
  • I am out of pocket for a couple of weeks visiting colleagues at Renew in the Smokies.
  • Looking forward to cooler temps, however I will miss being with Lori.
  • Something to Chew on; Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. ~ I Peter 4:10

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I preached at Salt Springs Christian Church this morning.
  • The message focused on David's anointing as the new King.
  • Key point of the message, God's moving can happen quickly, therefore, BE READY!
  • SSCC is a church full of love and it shows in their generosity to the people who live in the Salt Springs community.
  • It is good to see church that understands their purpose.
  • I was able to see generosity lived out this week as KCC stepped out in faith.
  • The 2025 NFL schedule has been released. Why do the Fins have to play the Pats in December?
  • I saw something yesterday I cannot unsee, A man in Walmart eating while he wss in the checkout line. I am not a germaphobe, but watching him eat with his hands and then touch the key pad freaked me out.
  • Summer is hear, what happened to Spring?

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • For the first time in a long time I was not able to attend worship today. This virus is still kicking hitting me hard!
  • Maybe it is just me, but I do not know why people prefer online worship.
  • No connection, No fellowship!
  • I spent the week in Knoxville last week at our annual Advancement Rectreat.
  • Here is a minor miracle, both flights were on time!
  • Returned Friday evening and once again I cannot believe the traffic around here!
  • Our small group resumes this Friday Night! We have missed a few Fridays because of schedules and illness, looking forward to Friday evening.
  • So thankful for nurse Lori, she has been a blessing during this time!
  • Something to Chew on; All that am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother. ~ Abraham Lincoln

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day.

  • I worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning. Heath continued his series on the Parables of Jesus.
  • Today's parable the Good Samaritan. He asked the question, "Who Cares?"
  • That is the message of the parable, Who cares for the hurting, the helpless, and the broken?
  • I have been out of commission the last two weeks with a virus. The last 2 weeks have been filled with coughing, tissues and meds. NO Fun and NO Blog!
  • Is it just me or is this year flying by? Wasn't it Groundhog day two weeks ago?
  • The only good thing about the year going by fast we are getting closer to football season.
  • Speaking of football, where do the college draftees get their wardrobe for the college draft day?
  • I am spending a few days in Tennessee this week for our annual Advancement Retreat. Looking forward to reconnecting with good friends.
  • Something to Chew on; Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value. ~ Albert Einstein
