- Worshiped with the church family of FCC Orange Park this morning. Great message from John 21 regarding loving God and loving others.

- What are the "These" in your life?
- Christmas break is almost over, students return next weekend.
- 2 Games + 7 points = No playoffs for the Dolphins! The wait until next year mantra is getting old.
- The Osborne Lights at Disney Hollywood Studios is pretty impressive!

- The University is really quiet this week, everyone has gone home for Christmas break.
- 3 more days!
- Congratulations to Canoe Creek Christian Church in St. Cloud, they celebrated worship in their new building today!
- This verse really spoke to me this week.
- One of the great things about worshiping at FCC Kissimmee, is the number of JUFL alumni who show up from time to to time to worship with us.
- I find it interesting TOLERANCE is not a two way street.
- How can the Dolphins play with such heart last week and have so little passion this week - good bye playoffs.
- I saw some incredible acts of generosity this past week, God's people doing God's work is always inspiring.
- Once again Bob Russell's writings remind us why Jesus is the answer to our problems.
- Something to Chew on; The key question in life is who you think you are. In addition to asking the question of who you are, a question that should follow is, who are you becoming? ~ David Kraft

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at my home church today, FCC Kissimmee. Great message on the Christmas Gift.
- One takeaway from worship this morning was the idea of the wise men's visit - the first gift they offered was not the gold, myrrh and frankincense, the first gift they offered was their worship!
- It is easy to blame the stores for opening on Thanksgiving Day, but we must ask ourselves do we really NEED to march to the Malls on that day?
- Hey Jim, thank you for the encouraging words this morning - I really appreciated your sincerity!
- Loved having the family over for Thanksgiving day - we are blessed.
- Interesting quote from Dave Ramsey's twitter this week; If your household income is over 34K per year you are in the top 1% of income earners in the world. That really puts things in perspective.
- Well the college season is wrapping up, but what an incredible day - 1 second can change everything!
- Saddened for the gators season, hope the off-season brings a time of reflection and renewed commitment.
- Reading several posts on Facebook lately regarding urban legends - please check out your source before you post!

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts From an Amazing Day...
- The last 10 days have been a whirlwind of activity, A Leadership Retreat, A Missions Event in Vero Beach, a trip to Johnson University for 3 days if training and a Faith Promise Weekend - I am beat!
- Takeaway from the leadership retreat; Leaders must constantly be in a "Change Mode" as their leadership grows. This is probably the most difficult part of leadership.
- Thrilled to see what Vero Christian and First Christian of Pompano Beach are doing to impact the world through their missions.
- I am in awe of what I am doing now, there have been so many changes in last 3 years, God is good!
- Looks like it is going to be a long off season in Gainesville this year.
- My granddaughter turned 1 yesterday. She truly is the joy of my life.
- My fantasy football team has become a lot like the Jacksonville Jaguars - we are just bad!
- Thanksgiving is just around the corner!
- Today was the last road trip for the calendar year, I have traveled 41 of the 52 weeks this year. I am the ROAD WARRIOR!
- Something to Chew on; When we support missions we are ensuring heaven will be little more full and hell will be less crowded.

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped with the family at First Christian Church Kissimmee this morning.
- Great message on conflict resolution this morning.
- Jim is right, what would happen if our churches, families and homes practiced this verse when there is conflict?
- Really appreciated the update from Haiti this morning, amazing what can happen when a youth ministry really gets hold of having the mind of Christ - Thank you Chris!
- November!
- As a Gator fan I was really disappointed in how the ended the game last week. Remember it is a game and one must be gracious in a loss as well as a win. Come on Coach, we need to focus on character as well as skills!

- Installed flooring tile this weekend and I was reminded, I am not as young as I used to be - silly me!

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped with the church family at Southwest Christian Church in Ocala today.
- There is something about hymns accompanied with an organ that is stirring.
- Message focused on Mission Awareness this morning with the text coming from the book of Jonah.
- The book of Jonah teaches us there is a need for missions and an alternative to missions. The need for missions is great, the alternative to missions is discouraging.
- One of the great misconceptions regarding missions - "Missions begins at home!" No, missions is about taking the gospel to someone, either overseas or across the street it is not about focusing on one's self.
- Two key ideas from my message this morning; A healthy church is a mission minded church and a great church is not known by it's seating capacity but by it's sending capacity!
- Found out today one of "my kids" from my youth ministry years helped lead worship this morning at his church. We never know how far our influence extends!
- After watching last night's game between Missouri and South Carolina we should be reminded we should never throw in the towel!
- This past week I have watched the outpouring of love toward an alumnus' family at his passing. Years have passed, but the alumni of CFBC/FCC and now JUFL are a unique family. The memories I have from those 4 years are invaluable!
- If you have not visited a Goodwill store, you do not know what you are missing.
- Did you know there are only 5 weeks left in the college football regular season!

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at New Hope CC in Nokomis this morning.
- Great worship and very receptive audience.
- This mornings message dealt with the subject of the authority of God's word.
- Funny how we have come to believe many of today's issues are up for a vote, Why, because we fail to recognize Biblical Authority.
- Biblical authority is not intolerant it is a lifeline in a world questioning all other authority.
- After spending 2 1/2 years traveling around the state, I think I might be ready to write a book.
- Titles I am considering; "My View; Looking at ministry though a windshield!" (this would be a salute to all my traveling. or "I really wished I would have paid more attention in Bible College, things I did not know I would need to know" (Short title, I thought I had seen everything!)
- College football is really getting interesting.
- Watched the beginning of the Colts/Broncos Game tonight - Colts fans really have class!
- Is cooler weather on the way.
- For some reason I was thinking about eternity a lot today.
- Something to Chew on; The Bible Teaches us what is right what is not right, how to get right and how to stay right! Warren Weirsbee

A Few Thoughts From an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at FCC Kissimmee today, great message on the power of Intercessory Prayer.
- While the message of Intercessory Prayer was good, Jim's example with Congressman Grayson was a perfect example. Thanks Jim for your witness.
- One of those "God things" happened this morning, I arrived at FCCK with no responsibilities, however I left being the point man for a baptism at the college, what a great blessing - The best piece of advice I can give anyone based on today's events; always look for moments to be used by God.
- Really appreciated the testimonies at ROUNDUP this year.
- The Alumni Band did a wonderful job!
- Hey David Wheeler, your "pilgrim" illustration was great! So True!
- I am really enjoying the AMAZING RACE this season
- I am speaking to a group of men this week about the future of the church, I hope they are ready!
- With all the leadership resources available today, there really is no reason for a leadership vacuum in our culture.
- I really love this verse
- I do not understand the top 25 in college football. Some of the teams need to play someone of substance to get a ranking.
- Something to Chew On; The greatest day in your life and mine is when we take total responsibility for our attitudes. That's the day we truly grow up. ~ John Maxwell

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped in Nokomis today at the New Hope Christian Church.
- Today's message focused on becoming a people who offer grace in a grace-less society.
- The story of the Prodigal Son is really a story of 3 sons; one who left his father's home, one who left his father's heart and one who left Heaven to rescue the first two sons.
- Have you ever noticed the story of the Prodigal son has no ending?
- Once again I realized we live in a very small world. Met a family we worshiped with in Orlando almost 30 years ago.
- Attended a funeral this week of a young girl who literally changed everyone she touched! I marveled at the faith of her parents!
- This month is clergy appreciation month, remember to thank the ones who have provided you with spiritual leadership. They truly practice second mile living everyday!
- There is an outpouring of prayer going toward an alumnus of CFBC the past few weeks, so good to be connected in this "FACEBOOK" age.
- Connecting with a long time friend in youth ministry this week, can't wait to hear what is happening in his life.
- How can 6 weeks of college football go by so fast?
- Something to Chew on; “What is applauded as exceptional at first will then be expected because applause is addictive. But a person can only receive what is given to them by heaven.” ~ Andy Stanley at this year's Catalyst Conference

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at our home church this morning, so nice to leave the house at 9:15 rather than 7:30!
- Great message on Truth - We do not always want to her the truth, but we need the truth.
- If we really take to heart the words of Jesus in John 3, we can understand why the carnal mind is so opposed to the ways of Jesus.
- My son's wedding was the first weekend in September and It is amazing how many offers he is receiving for home financing and other offers - Direct mail is troublesome!
- Attended a funeral of a man this week, who really understood what it meant to take advantage of opportunities in this life.
- Church leaders we must recapture this idea from John Piper's book, "Brothers, we are not professionals".
- I have to admit we have been too busy focusing on the "Professional side of Ministry" we have forgotten our first priority is to be a shepherd!
- I have heard of several alumni of JUFL going through some very difficult times this week. In light of this, I thought of the Lincoln quote below.
- Something to Chew on; “In this sad world of ours sorrow comes to all and it often comes with bitter agony. Perfect relief is not possible except with time. You cannot now believe that you will ever feel better. But this is not true. You are sure to be happy again. Knowing this, truly believing it will make you less miserable now. I have had enough experience to make this statement.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at Ocala Christian Church this morning, I really enjoy worshiping with the folks in Ocala.
- I was asked to speak on "THE STORY" This morning's topic; Abraham.
- The call of Abraham meant a call to the unknown, the impossible, and the future.
- Greatest title bestowed on a man was given to Abraham - Isaiah 41:8, Abraham was my friend. Are you a friend of God?
- Watching the Gator game yesterday should be a reminder when opportunity comes, you better be ready!
- I realized tonight what I watch on TV is simply not Emmy worthy! And that is a good thing!
- The Dolphins are 3 and 0, Maybe....
- Next month is clergy appreciation month, I hope my readers realize how blessed they are to have a spiritual leader.
- Unless there is some kind of scheduling hiccup, it looks like I am off the road next weekend!
- I know it is hard to get into the "Fall" season when it is still showing 90 on the thermometer - But I cannot wait for Thanksgiving.
- Something to Chew on; To wait on God is not to worry, fret or take control. Waiting is sustained effort to stay focused on God through prayer and belief. ~ Max Lucado, Twitter

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped with the church family in Deleon Springs today. I love their spirit, they are really genuine about their faith.
- This morning's message focused on the subject; Identity; What does God's people look like today?
- We are recognized by God, not by the "fish decal" on our car or the cross around our neck, but by the way we treat others.
- Note how Jesus treated others and model his way!
- Question who is the one person you know who needs the love of Christ in their life?
- Sometimes God puts people in your life unexpectedly, so YOU can grow in His Grace!
- How can 3 weeks of the college football season already be in the books?
- Did I mention how much I dislike Windows 8?
- Another group of college kids are calling our place their home away from home, better order a giant supply of popcorn!
- Dolphins are 2 and 0, should I get excited or wait for the heartache?
- Never has the phrase, "mild to moderate" meant so much to me than this weekend.
- Something to Chew on; A genuine leader is not a searcher of consensus, but a molder of consensus ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

- There is a great deal of comfort that comes from realizing God's word is the final authority.

- Second favorite quote; God's word is for God's people to live Godly lives.

- I was humbled this week by all of the advice I received for young preachers on FACEBOOK and from the faculty at JUFL.
- Something to Chew On; Hey JUFL Students - God is looking for your availability more so than your ability.

A Few Thoughts From an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped with the First Christian Church of Inverness family this morning.
- It has been a little over a year since I visited last - lots of new faces. Ray and his team are making strides in turning the church around.
- Quotes from today's message; the Bible is deep enough a theologian can drown in the complexity, yet shallow enough a child can find salvation.
- 2nd Quote from today's message, we are not saved by knowing the scriptures we are saved by believing in the One who gave us the scriptures.
- We are in the home stretch of preparing the campus for our new and continuing students, lots of activity at JUFL this week.

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at FCC Orange Park this morning.
- Experienced one of the most powerful invitations times I have seen in years.
- It is true, every Sunday there is a hurting person in every church, are we willing to lift them up at their time of need?
- I am humbled by the generosity of others.
- After reading posts on FACEBOOK this week, I am amazed at what people fight about in matters of faith.
- Preached on the topic of Paul's thorn this morning from 2 Corinthians 12, and verse 10 really jumped out at me; I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. How many of us really delight in suffering for the sake of Christ?
- First group of students return to Johnson University Florida this week, summer is just about over.
- I bet we will want all this rain during our "dry season" in the coming months.

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Returned to Whitfield CC in Sarasota this morning. This morning's topic; The Older Brother in the Parable of the Prodigal Son.
- One commentator said the story of the prodigal son is a story of a son who lost his way, But the question of the hous is which boy lost his way, one left his father's land, the other left his father's heart!
- Did you know God takes grumbling just as serious as sexual immorality, check it out!
- In the the Parable of the Prodigal Son, one discovers 3 sons; the prodigal, the older son and the Son of God.
- I am still thinking about the NACC - it has been a week and the messages are still coming to mind! Great preaching leaves a lasting impression.

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- I had the unique privilege of preaching at 2 different churches this morning. The first one at 8:45., the second one at 10:45. Now I know how a circuit rider feels.
- While it was two different churches, both share the common bond of the Holy Spirit. This is what makes the local church so unique, different styles, different people, but the common bond of Christ - Good stuff.
- Today's message - People of the second chance! Focused on the father in the parable of the prodigal son.
- 3 points; the Father who waits, the Father who restores and the Father who rejoices.
- Want to know why the message of the prodigal son resonates with so many people? Here is the truth, we are all prodigals at one time.
- Is there someone you need to restore today? I would suggest you look to the Father in the parable of the prodigal son and emulate his actions!
- Special treat today for the first time in 30+ years of ministry I got to share lunch with my father on Father's Day - Priceless.
- If you have not tried BONEFISH GRILLE - you need to try it out - BTW get the salmon with the mango salsa - so good!

- Worshiped at FCC of Arcadia today, their minister is an alumnus of Florida Christian College and they support an alumnus who is a missionary in Africa. Here is a small church having a huge impact on the Kingdom of God.
- Today's message; Why Strong in the Scripture is not just a motto for a Bible College.
- Do you remember when the the Christian church was known as "People of the Book"?
- Sometimes the "Google Map" is wrong, trust me I am speaking from experience.

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped with the Church in Orange City this morning.
- Sometimes we overlook small churches for their contribution, I was amazed at the way they cared for the children of the church.
- In a little over 2 years, I have visited 146 churches, but today was a first; my car broke down 2 miles from the church where I was the guest preacher. I made it to the church on time and yes my prayer life improved 100% today.
- Next Saturday is June 1 - this year is moving at hyper speed.
- Tomorrow is the Ironton Ohio Memorial Day parade, here is an interesting fact; this parade is the longest running Memorial Day parade in the country.
- I have to admit "Duck" reruns are better then most stuff the networks are offering this summer.
- Pretty bummed that one of my team members is leaving FCC, Crystal we will miss your wit and wisdom. However I believe this new adventure is going to truly help you fulfill your purpose in life! Yes your are an artist not a copy machine.
- Bahama Breeze's chicken sandwich is fantastic - trust me!
- Some really good friends got a dog this weekend - can't wait to hear if they are "Dog Whisperers" or not!

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped with the church family at First Christian Church Clearwater this morning.
- One of the most authentic worship experiences I have witnessed in a long time. Genuine worship always come through!
- Mike's message on Choosing Courage over Complacency was right on target.
- His handling of the Genesis 12 gave the call of Abram a new perspective.
- Met with the missions team of FCC Clearwater following worship, great response about what is happening at Florida Christian College.
- Goodbye Spring, looks like Summer is here!
- From today's Bible reading - John 6:22-24, What steps would you take to search for Jesus?
- Excited about the possibilities this Summer affords.
- The scandals in Washington should be a reminder to all of us we cannot fix ourselves - We need a savior!
- No Triple Crown Winner again this year - this may one of the most elusive titles in all of sports.

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Preached at Okeechobee Today on the parable of the Wheat and the Tares.
- Asked an important questions this morning; Is the world we are living in getting better of worse? Answer: Yes!
- Better - the gospel continues to make inroads in the world, Worse, man continues to rebel against God and His good and pleasing will.
- I am amazed by the places the class of 2013 from FCC are planning to go after graduation; this is truly a special group of graduates.
- Greatest takeaway from commencement Friday evening; the school song is treasured by alums as well as students. Thank you Fred and Doc Smith.
- Commencement message was both inspiring as well as challenging, Thank you Alex, Brad and Jordan.
- Bill Behrman's gracious spirit will be missed at FCC.
- Big week for our advance team this week, we are excited!
- Watching the Kentucky Derby Saturday, I could not help but think how fortunes can change in just 2 minutes. Also leading at the halfway point does not assure one of victory.
- Something to Chew on; Seldom does growth come to a church, an organization or an individual without some type of change.

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Preached at Okeechobee Christian Church today, This mornings topic; What is the condition of your heart?
- Your heart can be unresponsive, impulsive, destructive or productive. The woman at the well in John 4 is a great example of a person whose heart can change the more they spend time with Jesus.
- Listened to the choral society tonight at FCC Kissimmee, we have a talented group of musicians and vocalist at Florida Christian College.
- Spent Saturday evening with some really good friends last night it has been TOO long since we were together.
- Wrapping up the school year this week, where did the time go?
- FCC says good bye to Bill and Cheryl Behrman this week, I will miss his positive attitude and spirit at FCC.
- As I blog tonight my future daughter in law and wife Kathy are discussing wedding plans. DON'T Blink!
- Just sayin' Happy, Happy, Happy - some of you understand!
- CBS Sports gave the Miami Dolphins a "B" for this year's draft let's hope that spells a better season than the ones we have experienced lately.
- Something to Chew on; God's power within you is only potential until you convert it into strength - by faith and action. ~ Steven Furtick

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped with the church family at First Christian Church of Frostproof this morning.
- Some of the most gracious people I have met in the last few years of visiting churches.
- Today's topic; Sowing Seeds in Unexpected Places.
- We never know where the seed may land so we must sow seed Plentifully, Patiently and Passionately, trusting God for the increase.
- Favorite illustration this morning was about the seeds found in King Tut's tomb, they were planted and produced fruit. Here were seeds surrounded by death and decay for over 3,000 years, yet when planted they brought forth life!
- Imagine Banquet was a huge success. Arron Chambers shared a powerful message about FCC's rich heritage. He reminded everyone why we love FCC.
- Thank you Arron for reminding us the Zeal of FCC, may it never cease.
- FCC's commencement is in 2 weeks - we are ready to unleash a committed group of men and women into the world!
- Watching "Pride of the Yankees" tonight - They simply do no make movies like that today. The movies does have some corny moments, but the hero (Lou Gehrig) is not flawed or compromised and I always get a lump in my throat when Lou Gehrig played by Gary Cooper announces; "Today I am the luckiest man alive."
- Something to Chew on; The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it is indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it is indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it is indifference. ~ Elie Wiesel

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Tonight is my 150th Sunday Night Reflection. Including my Facebook Wall (where it all started) I have been "reflecting" for over three years! To all my faithful readers thank you for joining me each Sunday evening. Looking forward to another 150+
- Worshiped at Sebring Christian Church this morning, good mix of worship and fellowship.
- Today's Topic, "Sowing Seeds in People's Lives."
- The Message answered the question why people do not respond to the gospel message.
- The answer; it is a matter of the heart.
- BTW if your heart is not right, it is impossible for you to sow seeds into the lives of others.
- I had lunch with Sebring's new youth minister, Josh and his wife, they asked me for youth ministry advice, I have never felt so old or so encouraged! I think he is going to do a great job at the church!
- Spent a week in Charleston SC learning new software - looking at a computer screen for 7 1/2 hours each day is tough.
- However, I did visit some FINE restaurants each evening. Good Times!
- There are only 3 weeks of school left. How can a year go by so fast?
- Signed up for minute with John Maxwell a few weeks back, I get a minute of training sent to my inbox every day - good stuff, I highly recommend it!
- Maxwell is right; It is not only important what you learn, but who learn it from.
- Saturday, I spent the day at my family reunion, wow I have a great heritage, thanks to my family.
- I have preaching the 12 out of the past 15 Sundays this year, I really miss my home church.
- There are a lot of changes on the horizon, really excited!
- I have never looked forward to a Monday, like I am looking forward to tomorrow.
- OK, now that March Madness is over let's get through the lull of Spring; College football will be here soon.
- Something to Chew On... The love of family and the admiration of friends is much more important than wealth and privilege. ~ Charles Kuralt

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped with the MI Church in Merritt Island this morning, Mark and the team are very serious about discipleship.
- Great to see how this church incorporates their youth ministry in worship.
- You could really sense the excitement in the church.
- But I have to admit it was kind of nerve racking to look out and see my former preaching professor in the audience, he was very gracious and kind, even though I probably violated most of the rules regarding sermon structure.
- Arrived in South Carolina tonight for 5 days of software training. This should be interesting!
- Trying out a wireless keyboard tonight, please excuse any abnormalities to the blog.
- Road Trips with adults are much like road trips with teens, the only difference, adults stop at better restaurants.
- Something to Chew on; Wisdom is enshrined in an understanding heart, wisdom is not found among fools. Proverbs 14:33

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Preached twice this morning, Sunrise and Morning Worship, I was pumped!
- Sunrise Topic - Mary, Last at the cross on Friday, first at the tomb on Sunday.
- Mary's determination to find Jesus is one we can all emulate!
- Do you realize how alone Mary was as she sought out Jesus? She went to the tomb alone, she was willing to face the guards alone, and she wept alone and yet she was rewarded for her determination as she was the first to see the resurrected Lord.
- Morning Worship Topic - The disciples on the way to Emmaus; dejected, despondent and downcast they found Jesus and their life was never the same.
- FCC Kissimmee's Good Friday service was very inspirational - Thank you Tony for leading us through the last hours of Jesus' life on the cross.
- Kathy played her flute to kick off worship this morning, good stuff!
- Finished off a series on the Power of the Cross at Okeechobee, next week I am speaking at Merritt Island at the MI Church, looking forward to being with a former classmate.
- So good to see all the posts regarding worship today, Sounds like a good day for the people of faith.
- OK, I admit it the gators did not show up today; actually they were showed up by Michigan.
- You gotta be ready every time you get on the court.
- Oh well, mark your calendar's, Gator football is coming in September.
- They are only 5 weeks of school left!
- BTW if you are ever preaching at an outdoor sunrise service in Florida, make sure you have a "Sand Crane Spotter" and make sure he is packin'
- Something to Chew On; Vision works like a rudder on a ship. Without it, the ship may travel a distance, but not necessarily in the right direction. With it, the ship reaches the destination by the shortest route possible. ~ From John Maxwell's Blog

Darkness Reigns... Briefly
On the night he was arrested, Jesus told his accusers, Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour—when darkness reigns. Luke 22:53
- When Darkness Reigned... Judas was betraying our Lord.
- When Darkness Reigned... Peter was denying he the Savior
- When Darkness Reigned... The Disciples fled
- When Darkness Reigned... The crowd asked for Barabbas
- When Darkness Reigned... Pilate washed his hands of the matter
Yes, when Darkness Reigned it looked very bleak - it seemed as if the entire world was turned upside down. Yet Jesus had the proper perspective. Did you catch the last part of the verse, this is your HOUR. Darkness was limited! In the grand scheme of things Darkness only had a momentary glimpse of victory.
However scripture makes it clear Jesus reigns for all of eternity...
God exalted him (Jesus) to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11
This Easter, as you read the headlines of our day and listen to the talking heads spout all kinds of course and vile speech and see evil applauded, would you remember we have a savior who reigns forever and Darkness will only reign... BRIEFLY!

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Week...
- Preached on the transforming power of the cross this morning.
- The power of the cross is seen in how it changed Simon of Cyrene, the Centurion and Joseph of Arimathea.
- Today's preaching point; the closer you are to Jesus, the more likely you will be transformed by Him.
- Transformation is seen in how we react to Christ, We can come to him just as we are, but we can never leave Just as we were!
- This verse keeps running through my mind today, Mark 15:39, when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died,he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!” Think about it the centurion probably never saw Jesus perform a miracle never heard a him teach, however he was transformed by the way Jesus died - Wow!
- Easters Coming!
- Can there be any greater day to preach than next Sunday? I am pumped!
- Sunday's messages are titled; Sunrise Service, When God Calls your Name. Morning Worship, Inspired!
- Gators move to the Sweet 16!
- In 1977, I saw the original Lynyrd Skynyrd Band, this past weekend my daughter saw the new Lynyrd Skynyrd band - Good music has staying power - in the words of Ronnie Van Zant - "Turn it up!"
- Began a mentoring program this week, looking forward to seeing what happens next.
- Big changes happening at FCC, it is exciting to be on the "ground floor" of this new venture.
- I am surrounded by an amazing group of people in my department at FCC.
- Can you believe 1/4 of 2013 is almost over. Better start checking out my naughty and nice list soon!
- To my friends up north, believe me Spring will come one day!
- Something to Chew on, “The place God calls you to is where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet.” ~ Frederick Buechner

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day (actually an amazing week)
- Preached at Okeechobee CC today on the power of the cross.
- Today's topic; the Thief on the Cross points to our assurance of salvation.
- The one who deserved Hell received Heaven. The truth of the matter is we all deserved Hell, yet we received Heaven because of Christ's work on the cross.
- The thief was saved from Hell, saved to Heaven and saved by Grace.
- There were two thieves crucified with Jesus that day; what made one of them ask for forgiveness while the other continued to hurl insults at the messiah? Simple, one watched how Jesus hung on the cross and that made all the difference in the this life and in the life to come!
- Tonight was the home concert from our New Creation tour at FCC. We really do have a talented group of students, but what is more amazing is their character.
- Well selection Sunday has come and gone - got your bracket done yet?
- My son graduates in less than 8 weeks!
- I celebrated 2 years of employment at FCC this past week, boy has my life changed since 2011 (but that is another post)
- Something to chew on; From today's message - If you were to die tonight, and God asked you “Why should you be allowed to enter my heaven?” what would you say? I would not say it is because I grew up in the church, I would not say it is because I preached the gospel every week for the last 32 years, or that I loved my wife and was kind to my kids. I would say, God I am a sinner, and nothing in my hand I bring, but to the cross I cling.
