Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts From an Amazing Day...

  • Preached on the topic of Biblical Leadership this morning at Okeechobee Christian Church.
  • Sermon Takeaway, Healthy churches are led by spiritually healthy leaders.
  • When looking for a leader do you want smart men or spiritual men; I will take a spiritual man every time!
  • Who ever likes the idea of majority rules in a church setting does not understand Biblical Leadership.
  • A plurality of elders always trumps the idea of a single pastor governance when it comes to the Lord's church.
  • Les Harden's words at Chapel last Tuesday still inspire me. Check out the final thoughts from his message here.
  • I am heartbroken by the words I received from a former member of my youth ministry in Anderson Indiana. John and Candace remember these words from the Apostle Paul.
  • It was a little weird not finding a football game on TV today.
  • March madness is just around the corner!
  • I realized this week it was 15 years ago this month that I moved out of youth ministry and began preaching on a weekly basis. What a journey.
  • Heads up, S.G. is coming to my house Friday night.
  • Something to Chew on; In order to succeed, you must know what you are doing, like what you are doing, & believe in what you are doing. -Will Rogers
