Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at FCC Inverness today.
  • The church is on the right track as it continues to reach out into the community of Inverness.
  • Great mix of worship music today. Both modern and traditional.
  • I don't think I will ever get over the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15.
  • The topic today's message becoming people of the "Second Chance"
  • If you could have a second chance today what would you do differently?
  • We received a good report this week from the oncologist, but we still have a long way to go! Thank you prayer warriors!
  • One thing I have noticed since Kathy was diagnosed with cancer, I hear more stories every day of cancer survivors and people who are fighting cancer. Key lesson - everyone has a story.
  • Attending a commissioning service next week, so glad to be a part of what God is doing in this young lady's life!
  • I could never participate in the Amazing Race, just saying!
  • 4 Teams left in the NBA Playoffs - I can't believe they are still playing.
  • Something to Chew on; "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." ~ Winston Churchill

  1. I've been reading you for some time. I keep hoping you will open your eyes, beyond your "church only" people, and see all the people that are all around you. It just won't happen and I am leaving your blog with one last response. Yes, everyone has a story. Many are cancer survivors, and many struggle on. I want you to understand that your wife is fortunate! She is receiving treatment. Would you try to understand that there are very real fellow human beings out there who have cancer, or any illness, and are dying because they cannot afford treatment, or their insurance doesn't cover it? Please show a tiny bit of care about others, okay? There is a big world outside those invisible "church walls" you cannot see past. I hope your wife is well soon. With that, i will leave your blog.
