Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Wonderful day of worship at FCC Kissimmee this morning.
  • I think the song "We Believe" really sums up who we are as people of faith.
  • Derrick shared a great communion thought this morning - John 3:16 reminds us we are invited to the table, John 3:17 reminds us everyone is invited to the table.
  • Chris did a wonderful job preaching his final message this morning as a staff member of FCC Kissimmee on the subject of "Defining Moments"
  • Key thought the defining moment is not the MOMENT; what makes it a defining moment is how one REACTS to the moment!
  • Chris and Maggie will be missed.
  • First round of students have arrived on campus this past week - it will not be long now!
  • Tonight is the first Preseason Football game - Oh Yeah!
  • Do we really have 16 more months of political posturing until the election!
  • Really looking forward to our Leadership Conference at JUFL in November, it is shaping up to be a great conference.
  • There is something comforting in watching old westerns on TV - the good guys always win!
  • Speaking of Chris's defining moments message, I was listening to a John Maxwell tape (Yes, tape) and he said your life will be significantly different over the next 5 years based on two items; the books you read and the people you associate with - CHOSE WISELY!
  • Another Chemo treatment tomorrow - I HATE CANCER!
  • Something to Chew on; This is what the Lord says, "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it and you will find rest for your soul." ~ Jeremiah 6:16
