Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at FCC Kissimmee today. So glad to a part of a church that is taking risks and stepping out in faith!
  • Jim's messages from Jeremiah have been excellent, I would have never thought about preaching through Jeremiah during missions emphasis month! Well Done Jim!
  • BTW, the baptismal waters stirred again! Yes!
  • We visited Moffitt in Tampa this past week, so thankful for their advice.
  • Teaching at Lake Aurora Camp this coming weekend at the men's retreat.
  • Political commercials scare me.
  • Why do my favorite movies never win an Oscar?
  • March Madness is almost here - who will have the "One Shining Moment"?
  • I received an e-newsletter this week with tips on how to make Easter a great evangelistic event. I really miss preaching during the Easter season.
  • This week a friend had an automobile accident, another made a major career decision, another two friends became grandparents and cancer continues to raise it's ugly head, just an average week - I do not think so. So glad our heavenly father gave us the gift of prayer.
  • Really looking forward to this day
  • Nothing like doing your taxes to see where your money went in a year. Can we really have 47 pharmacy receipts in one year?
  • Favorite IRS slogan; the IRS we have what it takes to take what you got!
  • Sometimes you just have to have some good comfort food! Thank you Cracker Barrel.
  • Something to Chew on; It is not enough that we do our best; sometimes we must do what is required. ~  Winston Churchill

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at FCC Kissimmee today.
  • Powerful message from the book of Jeremiah.
  • It is exciting to see how this church is trying to reach the city.
  • What are you doing to reach your city?
  • We are headed to Moffitt this week, for a second opinion, I hope we can get some answers.
  • Sitting in the chemo ward at the doctor's office is a striking reminder of how devastating cancer can be on the human body.
  • I find it interesting how we have had only 3 states hold caucuses or primaries and we are already declaring the presidential race.
  • On the flip side, I wonder what the young children of presidential candidates think when they attend their parent's debate.
  • Remember disappointments never define us!
  • Watching the eagles tribute on the GRAMMYS last week reminded us music was good a long time ago!
  • Something to Chew on; A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them and strong enough to correct them ~ John Maxwell

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at First Christian Church of Frostproof this morning.
  • Today's message focused on the power of God's word to change lives.
  • Key thought; believing there are many ways to God is both confusing and leads to apathy.
  • There is but one path!
  • FCC Frostproof is a church that enjoys worship through song.
  • You know you are in a country church when the soloist is accompanied by a harmonica!
  • During the Bible School hour I was able to give an update on JUFL as well as share some of the victories of our alumni! May the Zeal never cease!
  • Side effects of the Cancer treatments are awful!
  • Once again we learned last week one can spend a lot of money on a Superbowl ad, and still not have a winning commercial.
  • So proud of my daughter, as she is serving in an internship at a church in Central Florida!
  • Don't know if I am getting old, but older TV shows make me smile.
  • The power of Prayer truly makes a difference.
  • Something to Chew on; Endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory ~ William Barclay

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at FCC Kissimmee today, great message on the need for disciples.
  • Penetrating question; Are you a member or a follower? There is a difference.
  • Here is a powerful verse from this morning's message
  • A different way to sing "Just as I am" this morning, the new lyrics are very powerful.
  • So thankful for the work of our Admissions team this weekend, they really went the extra mile, in spite of some lousy weather.
  • Tony's offering thought was spot on!
  • Why can't we discover a cure for cancer? What a heinous disease!
  • Last football game tonight, I hope it is a good one.
  • We get to see some good friends this week, really looking forward to seeing them!
  • You know what would be a great Super Bowl halftime show - Eagles and Fleetwood Mac! Let's go old school!
  • How can it be February already?
  • Family visits always make me smile.
  • The book Extreme Prayer will really make you evaluate your prayer life. I highly recommend it.
  • Something to Chew on; Keep your head up, God gives His hardest battles to his strongest soldiers.
