- Worshiped at FCC Kissimmee again today, challenging message from James, the student minister.
- He reminded me why I stayed in youth ministry for 17 years!
- We must raise up a new generation of men and women for Christ - Eternity is in the balance!
- Watching teens serve in worship makes me smile.
- Kind words are a refreshment to my soul.
- Sometimes I just tear up!
- Yes, you can be in a room full of people and still feel all alone.
- Attended a funeral of a dear preacher Saturday. Faithful to the end - well done!
- Connected with several alums while at the funeral, so good to see so many using their talents for the Lord, may the zeal never cease!
- Another church in Florida closed this week, the harvest is plentiful, we need more harvesters!
- I think about Heaven a lot lately.
- Klondike Bars are the ultimate comfort food.
- I read this week that Cato from the old Pink Panther movies passed away - I always laughed when Cato and Inspector Clouseau would "train" in martial arts. Kathy did not understand the humor, but I thought it was funny.
- Here is a great Psalm of David
- Something to Chew on; All such institutions have one thing in common; the need for bold, visionary leaders at all levels who can discern a different and better future for the organization, no matter its size, and can map a realistic path to attaining that future. ~ Robert Gates, A Passion for Leadership

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at FCC Kissimmee today, one of the most inspiring worship services I have attended in a long time.
- Jim continued his series from the 23rd Psalm, so glad the Lord is my shepherd.
- Some worship songs leave me speechless.
- A very moving time during the invitation this morning.
- As busy as I try to make myself, it really is difficult to get back into the swing of things.
- So thankful for the many calls, texts and msgs.
- Oh for one more day!
- Trying to live out this verse this week.
- I am still reading the sympathy cards - friends are such an encouragement.
- Question of the day; Why does a 2 minute horse race need over 2 hours of pre-race coverage?
- Don't look now the month of May is almost over!
- JUFL campus is extremely quiet - missing our students.
- Only 103 days til the first weekend of college football.
- Something to Chew on; My favorite things in life do not cost any money. It is clear that the most precious resource we all have is time. ~ Steve Jobs

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Week...
Let me just say, while it was a difficult week there were some things that happened which reminded me God is a compassionate father to the brokenhearted.
Let me just say, while it was a difficult week there were some things that happened which reminded me God is a compassionate father to the brokenhearted.
- Worshiped today at Fist Christian Church of Kissimmee, today's message focused on the 23rd Psalm - "He restores my soul"
- True restoration can only happen when one has a relationship with Christ.
- Watched the baptismal waters stir once again - I tell you that never gets old!
- Also had an opportunity to visit Journey Christian in Apopka today as well, So good to see what God is doing through their children's ministry of JCC. Oh, BTW baptismal waters stirred there as well!
- Kathy's Celebration of Life service reminded me once again, the value of being a part of ministry for 30 plus years.
- So touched by the comments and visits from so many people Tuesday.
- Amazed the distance some people traveled to celebrate Kathy's life. Thank you Bill, Kathy, Phil & Dorothy, Ministers from around the state, and so many more, I appreciate all of you!
- I miss her dearly.
- I do not like the new normal.
- God has opened a new opportunity for a friend of mine, God has brought beauty out of the ashes for him and his family.
- Commencement was a week ago; oh the places these new alums will go, may the zeal never cease!
- This is my 300th Sunday Night Reflection, it looks like I have been reflecting for a while. My first SNR was Feb. 7, 2010
- So glad Kathy does not have to deal with the upcoming presidential election; have we gone nuts????? In the words of Mr. Gump, "That is all I have to say about that!"
- This song has a special meaning to me now.
- Good Friends - you can't have enough of them.
- Something to Chew on; Take advantage of every moment, life is short ~ Alan
