- I visited a church in Cocoa this morning.
- They are searching for a new minister. The church has potential and the people are motivated to reach out to their community.
- To my ministry friends if you would like more information regarding the church, please reach out to me.
- Dinner with some old alums tonight, reminiscing about our college days. - Good Times!
- JUFL says farewell to our executive vice president this week as Dr. Chambers retires. I have known him as a professor and as a partner in ministry. His character, leadership, and sense of humor are all admirable traits. Anyone who knows him knows he will be missed at JUFL.
- I cannot believe the year is half over.
- I was able to see my granddaughter perform in a musical this past weekend. She was wonderful! Next stop Broadway!
- If I could choose a superpower, it would be the ability to speak Chihuahua.
- I like hanging out with generous people, they have such a sweet spirit.
- Please tell me they are not going to cancel the college football season.

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Preached at Union Park Christian Church this morning.
- The message focused on the act of compassion.
- Unfortunately, compassion seems to be missing in our society today.
- It is not enough to feel compassion, one must act compassionately toward those who are hurting.
- A Wonderful Father's Day at Casa Tison as all three of my kids were able to join me for worship.
- Every time they leave my home, my place seems quiet.
- My dad passed away 2 years ago, I miss him today. To all my friends whose father has passed this is a very difficult day for us, yet we all look forward to a great reunion.
- To all my friends whose father is still living, enjoy the moments!
- My favorite dad memories include; Camping, Fishing, Hunting, Cub and Boy Scouts, 69 Pontiac Firebird, and him being there at all three of graduations (High School, College, and Grad School) and my ordination into ministry.
- Twenty years ago, we were asking Smoking or Non-Smoking and now we are asking masks or no masks? Crazy Times!
- I am thinking a Facebook Fast is good for the soul!
- Something to Chew on; My father did not do anything unusual. He only did what dads are supposed to do - Be there. ~ Max Lucado

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at Vero Christian Church this morning.
- A very practical message on the subject of divorce.
- Steve brought a scriptural approach to a subject that has a variety of opinions.
- Standing on the truth of scripture always provides clarity and comfort for people dealing with such a sensitive subject.
- After 3 visits to three different churches, it has been interesting how each church has dealt with COVID 19.
- From this week's devotion; The receptiveness of your heart will always determine your response to God's word.
- I just completed a great week of vacation; the week included a beach trip, dinner with friends, and a few jobs around the house that needed my attention.
- How can June be half over, it seems like yesterday it was the middle of March.
- Next Sunday is Father's Day. Dads, please do not listen to the wisdom of this world, YOU DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
- Whatever happened to Common Sense?
- One of my favorite memories as a child was camping with my family, I would like to go camping again. It would be good to "get away" from it all!

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Preached at First Christian Church Cocoa Beach this morning.
- Today's message, Pursuing Patience in an Impatient World.
- Patience defined; Patience is the Calm Endurance based on a Certain knowledge God is in Control.
- The Bible is full of examples of individuals practicing patience; Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, and yes the greatest example of all - Jesus!
- I want to be as patient with others as God is patient with me. I have to admit there are times that is difficult for me!
- Like contentment, patience is a learned activity.
- Not much was mentioned this weekend about D-Day. As a nation, we can never forget the sacrifices the Builder Generation made freeing the world from tyranny.
- Thanks to COVID 19, whoever owns a plexiglass factory is having a very good year!
- All of my kids were home this weekend celebrating a birthday we missed during the virus quarantine, a great time was had by all!
- Two items I have enjoyed since COVID 19 invaded our lives; the weekly prayer time with my counterparts in Tennessee and our Virtual Coffee Break with the same group of people. We are 500 miles apart, but these two items are keeping us connected beyond our day to day routine.
- In case you are curious, There are 207 days left in 2020.
- Something to Chew on; No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, and purple. Yeah, this is useless trivia for us to chew on this week! How many of you are trying to find a word that rhymes with month, orange, or purple tonight?
