Sunday Night Feflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I preached at Ocala Christian Church this morning. The message was from Luke 19:1-10
  • Key point #1 from the message, Jesus is aware of our name and our need.
  • Key point #2 from the message, Zacchaeus' generosity was not a condition of his salvation, but the proof of a transformed life.
  • The young man giving the communion mediation this morning truly pointed us to Jesus and His sacrifice.
  • Ocala Christian Church has moved into their new building last week, so I was privileged to preach on their second Sunday in their new place. They have a great location and God has blessed them with a great facility to reach Marion County for Christ.
  • I attended a great minister's meeting this past Thursday, so good to connect with so many long-time friends.
  • I am attending a funeral and assisting in another funeral this week. So thankful for Heaven.
  • The 9/11 remembrance this weekend has been very moving.
  • My daughter Bethany was home for the weekend - Good Times!
  • Disney's new ride at Epcot is pretty cool! Ratatouille Lives!
  • It is getting dark before 8:00 again,  It will not be long before we will see 6:00 pm sunsets.
  • This just in, the Miami Dolphins are in first place this evening. Buy your playoff tickets now!
  • I am so happy there are people reminding me my car warranty is expiring! They must really care for me!
  • Something to Chew on: The unique challenge of leadership is making today work for tomorrow, especially when today seems to threaten that there will not be a tomorrow. But the only way there will not be a tomorrow is if we give in to the fear today. ~ John Maxwell
