Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I preached at Citrus Ridge Church this morning.
  • I began a new series focusing on the Christmas season titled "The Questions of Christmas" looking at the questions people asked at the first Christmas.
  • Today's question, How can I be sure? We looked at the birth of John the Baptist  and his father, Zechariah's question to the angel Gabriel.
  • Key Point #1, The people had a hope, but God had a plan.
  • Key Point #2, God's plans always come about on His timetable.
  • We also made it to the second service at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning for Jim's farewell message.
  • So thankful I was able to serve along side of Jim for numerous projects at Florida Christian College and Kissimmee Christian Church.
  • Serving beside him was great, but the night he and Jeanette ministered to my family will never be forgotten. God Bless you Jim and Jeanette.
  • Only 24 shopping days left! Choose Wisely!
  • College Football Season is almost over, what will I do with my Saturdays? Oops, I spoke to soon, Lori has a "honey do" list waiting for me!
  • Something to Chew on; Whether it be in the form of teaching, encouragement, rebuke, correction, the work of the preacher is to help the congregation accurately apply God's word to every situation in their lives. Jim you did that for the congregation of KCC. Thank You!

Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • I preached at Citrus Ridge Church this morning.
  • The people at CRC are so gracious!
  • The message wast titled, "The Empty Chair at Thanksgiving." The message focused on the attitudes of the older brother in Luke 15.
  • There are three reasons why the older brother could not express gratitude; The older brother was performance driven, blinded by possessions, and relationaly distant.
  • The Common Grace of God reminds us, we are blessed beyond belief.
  • The baptismal waters stirred once again at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning. Good Stuff.
  • I am praying for the ministry transition at KCC. I know God has the right man to lead His church.
  • Thank you Jim and Jeanette! You both have made a difference in the lives of so many people.
  • Winter came early for Florida this week!
  • I was pleasantly surprised on Saturday. The Orange and Blue came through!
  • This is the last week of November. Time is moving way too FAST.
  • Looking forward Thursday; Family, Food, and Football! Yes, It is the most wonderful time of the year.
  • Something to Chew on; therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. ~ Hebrews 12:28-29
