A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Preached at Englewood Christian Church this morning from Luke 19.
- I always enjoy preaching at Englewood, they are such gracious people.
- What a great joy, I was able to baptize my uncle at the end of the second service.
- Kingdom work is ALWAYS rewarding!
- I had an opportunity to visit with some former members of Palm Bay Christian today, it was so good to see them.
- Returned to FCC Kissimmee for their evening service, Mark did a fantastic job speaking on the subject of humility.
- I have to be honest there is something comforting about traditional worship at the end of the day.
- After traveling around the state for the last month, I believe every major road in Florida is under construction!
- Visited the cemetery Saturday while I was in Jacksonville; it still hurts!
- Jury duty tomorrow, well at least I will get caught up on some reading while I wait. I think I will take John Gresham's Runaway Jury to the courthouse to read, what are the chances I will be excused?
- New students will be arrive on campus in less than a month, I wonder if they understand what is about to happen in their lives?
- Two weeks of political conventions, so glad there is Netflix!

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Preached at Salt Springs Christian Church this morning.
- I had to be an early riser, left the house at 6:20 this morning.
- I was amazed at the crowd, as 130 people were in worship this morning.
- Type of worship? Two words; Southern Gospel!
- Several members came up to me to express condolences and let me know they have been praying for my family.
- Fun Fact from this morning, the SSCC has sent 150 young people to camp over the past 10 years. They have paid the entire cost of camp for each student. Today 12 middle school students were headed to camp because of the generosity of the church. They are sowing seeds for eternity!
- I had lunch today at a local restaurant called BUBBACUES! Truly southern cookin'.
- This little book is helping me to understand what is going on in my grieving journey. I am realizing everyday it is a journey.
- BTW just so you know, I hate this journey.
- A really good friend had the honor of baptizing his grandson today, it does not get better than that!
- I know it sounds like a small thing, but I ironed a pair of pants this week and did not ruin them!
- Preseason football begins next month.
- Do you want your heart to start racing? Walk up on a snake when walking in the morning, that wll get your heart pumping!
- Something to Chew on; What gives me the most hope every day is God's grace, knowing that His grace is going to give me the strength for whatever I face, knowing that nothing is a surprise to God. ~ Rick Warren

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Great day of worship at FCC Kissimmee this morning.
- Powerful message on the second coming of Christ.
- All I can say is come quickly Lord Jesus!
- Witnessed a family align themselves with the church today, this is always thrilling.
- This is the time for the church to rise. I do want to over simplify things, but look around, the world needs Jesus.
- A dear preacher went to be with the Lord this week, I am sure there is a little more laughter in heaven today.
- Witnessed a friend of mine give some thoughts at his mother's Celebration of Life service Thursday, not sure if I could speak so eloquently under those conditions.
- Tonight I had some Chicken Noodle soup Kathy made back in April, oh she was a wonderful cook.
- Sometimes I just weep, and I do not know why, it just happens at unexpected times.
- Reading a book on grief this week, I am amazed at how it seems like it was written just for me.
- The SEC Network had a replay of a Florida Gator football game on TV Today, it only whet my appetite for Fall.
- Something to Chew on; We are to wait for the coming of Christ with patience. We are to watch with anticipation. We are to work with zeal. We are to prepare with urgency. ~ Billy Graham

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- What a busy weekend, worshiped at Journey Christian Church in Apopka Saturday evening, preached at Plymouth Ave. Christian Church this morning and attended a Freedom and Faith Rally at FCC Kissimmee today.
- Last night's message at Journey CC focused on being re-purposed for the work of Christ.
- Met some long time friends while worshiping Saturday evening at Journey. So good to see my youth ministry kids become adults, it was worth every minute of youth ministry to see them turn out so well,
- This morning's message focused on answering the call of Christ, can you imagine what it must have been like to have Jesus call you by name?
- The first worship service at PACC was all traditional, there is something comfortable about singing old hymns.
- Tonight we were reminded of the blessings of living in a free country.
- Seeing so many men and women veterans stand and be recognized reminded me how fortunate we are to live in a country where freedom is earned through sacrifice, Thank you veterans.
- I have had several friends contact me this week, just to check in, Thank you Twila, Tom, Ruth and Bill your calls and visits meant a lot.
- Thursday I traveled to Jacksonville to pick out a grave marker, this is something I thought I would never be doing.
- It has been 2 months, I wish it was only a nightmare and I could wake up!
- I am learning to do a lot of things on my own, but I am having difficulty sew buttons on clothes - needles hurt!
- A very good friend of mine began a new ministry today, I hope it is a long a fruitful ministry.
- Tomorrow is the national hot-dog eating contest at Coney Island, to be honest 2 is my limit.
- Yes, 2016 is half over.
- Something to Chew on; There is only one instance in the NT where Jesus went to home uninvited, yet as a result a man was transformed and a city was changed (see Luke 19:1-10)
