Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at Englewood Christian Church this morning from Luke 19.
  • I always enjoy preaching at Englewood, they are such gracious people.
  • What a great joy, I was able to baptize my uncle at the end of the second service.
  • Kingdom work is ALWAYS rewarding!
  • I had an opportunity to visit with some former members of Palm Bay Christian today, it was so good to see them.
  • Returned to FCC Kissimmee for their evening service, Mark did a fantastic job speaking on the subject of humility.
  • I have to be honest there is something comforting about traditional worship at the end of the day.
  • After traveling around the state for the last month, I believe every major road in Florida is under construction!
  • Visited the cemetery Saturday while I was in Jacksonville; it still hurts!
  • Jury duty tomorrow, well at least I will get caught up on some reading while I wait. I think I will take John Gresham's Runaway Jury to the courthouse to read, what are the chances I will be excused?
  • New students will be arrive on campus in less than a month, I wonder if they understand what is about to happen in their lives?
  • Two weeks of political conventions, so glad there is Netflix!
  • Something to Chew on; We could never learn to be brave or patient if there were only joy in the world. ~ Helen Keller
