- Worshiped at First Baptist Church this morning.
- Powerful message on the need for baptism in our life
- Saw 20 people baptized this morning. This never gets old.

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
- Message from Tommy Smith, President of Johnson University.
- The message focused on living out the Kingdom of God here are earth.
- Key Thought #1, Where is the kingdom of God today? The place where God is the only ruler.
- Key thought #2, I am not able to change the world, but I can change my circle of influence.
- How are you doing with your circle of influence?
- Our circle of influence needs constant monitoring, I know mine does!
- Baptismal waters stirred once again. Never gets old!
- College team led worship this morning, "Forever" by Cari Jobe has to be one of my favorite worship songs. If you are not familiar with the song you can hear it here.
- I had the privilege to hear a message from a church planter this weekend as well. It is really amazing to see what God will do if we are open to His leading.
- Spent a few days on the Knoxville campus this week, Great time connecting with dear friends and colleagues.
- Attending the inauguration of Johnson University's 7th president was inspiring.
- Tuesday is a big day on the Campus of Johnson University Florida. A new era is dawning on our campus. The festivities begin at 9:30, Come join us!
- I miss talking to my dad.
- I am not going to lie, I did not expect the margin of victory, but I did enjoy the game last night!
- Pat down at the airport Friday, honestly do I really look that suspicious?
- Question on FACEBOOK this week, if you could talk to anyone past or present for an hour who would it be? Hands down, JESUS!

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Another two-fer weekend, Dave Ramsey Saturday evening at First Baptist Orlando and Jim at Kissimmee Christian Church of Sunday morning.
- Dave reminded us once again the wisdom of handling our finances correctly.
- The key lesson from Dave's talk; we gain wealth for one reason so we may be generous to others.
- Jim challenged us to think about one act can really change one's destiny.
- Watched the baptismal water stir once again, believe me, that never gets old. Especially when you watch a father baptize his adult son!
- Some worship songs are so powerful that at times I can't sing, I just listen to the words and say Amen!
- One of my favorite churches celebrated 50 years of ministry. They have had ups and downs over the past fifty years, yet they have been faithful and God has used them to reach a part of Jacksonville and missions around the world.
- Heading to Tennessee this week for a celebration of Johnson University's 7th president.
- Also, it will be great to connect with some of my Tennessee friends.
- Who knew the Dolphins would be in first place?
- Rereading a great book by Greg Pruett, Extreme Prayer. A line from the back cover; it is not about praying more, it is about praying differently.
- It can be difficult to stay on a diet when you have a piece of rhubarb pie and vanilla ice cream, but it is oh so good!
- The leadership vacuum in our culture is frightening.
- I imagine heaven will not have email, and that will be wonderful.
- Something to Chew on; If you can give a child just one gift, let it be enthusiasm. ~ Bruce Barton

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at First Baptist Church of Orlando this morning.
- The message focused on generosity through one's stewardship.
- Key thought #1, One of the greatest witnesses of our faith is our generosity. Generosity gives witness, God is real in our life.
- Key thought #2, We do not give TO receive grace, we give because we HAVE RECEIVED grace.
- Key thought #3, We will reach those who we serve.
- Savannah spent the weekend at my house, so a Disney trip was on the calendar.
- I know they call Disney the happiest place on earth, but at the end of the day, happiness gives way to exhaustion.
- After this past weekend, I have a real appreciation for single parents. #hittingthesackearlytonight
- That sick feeling you have when you wait 10 months to see your team play and then they play poorly - why did I wait for this!
- BTW, I never knew there were so many UK fans on Facebook.
- Popular phrases you hear in Florida in September; Invest #, Tracking the Tropics and Cone of Uncertainty.
- It is not here yet, but in the mornings you can tell Fall is near.
- We are so close to seeing the Commons open at JUFL.
- Something to Chew on; There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. ~ John Holmes

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at Kissimmee Christian Church this morning.
- Message from 2 Samuel 23 about an obscure mighty man of David, Shammah.
- While Shammah's act only covers two verses of scripture his actions are worth emulating.
- From today's message; the gospel is not simply something one receives, but is something you must give away.
- If we want to make a difference for Christ, we must be available to answer His call.
- Really appreciated the worship team this morning, they did a wonderful job today.
- The calendar changes and just like that; Football is back! O Happy Day!
- Favorite football snack this week - Nachos!
- Peyton and Brad's new commercials are a hoot. I wish I was in their band!
- Ran into former members of our my student ministry from 20years ago today, So good to hear they are doing so well.
- This week I was reminded once how life can change in a matter of days.
- While at times this world brings pain and sorrow, let's remember "there will be a day when there is no more sickness or sorrow!"
- Too often we live in the future thinking about what we are going to do, instead of living in the present. Choose the present!
- Something to Chew on; Don't walk through life just playing football. Don't walk through life just being an athlete. Athletics will fade. Character and integrity and really making an impact on someone's life, that is the ultimate vision, that is the ultimate goal. ~ Ray Lewis
