Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at First Christian Church of Cocoa Beach this morning.
  • The message focused on developing a real faith
  • Key thought; Faith is more than believing in God, Faith always moves one to act on that belief.
  • Even though the church at Cocoa Beach is small, their fellowship was so genuine.
  • Seeing the many of the businesses and homes that remained "boarded up" in Cocoa Beach reminded me how fortunate we were to dodge a massive storm.
  • I was also reminded of how catastrophic was the storm to the Bahamian people.
  • If you are looking for an inspiring, family-friendly movie to see, you should go see "Overcomer", you will be moved.
  • You know you are seeing a good movie when you hear audience participation in the theater.
  • Pro football kicked off this weekend. My apologies to Simon and Garfunkle, but where have you gone Mr.  Shula, Mr. Marino, and Mr. Csonka.
  • When the TV announcer says the Fins are the worst team in football, you know it is going to be a long season.
  • This weekend would have been my mom and dad's 62nd wedding anniversary, really wish my dad was alive to celebrate with my mom. They had a WONDERFUL marriage!
  • Attended the MercyMe concert at Epcot last week, to hear the SRO crowd sing Amazing Grace at the end of the concert was very moving.
  • How can I have a favorite worship song when new music is written every week, "Grace like a Wave" is another good worship song, you can listen to it here.
  • Something to Chew on; I have put before you an open door which no one can shut. ~ Jesus, Revelation 3:8
