- Worshiped at FCC Kissimmee again today, challenging message from James, the student minister.
- He reminded me why I stayed in youth ministry for 17 years!
- We must raise up a new generation of men and women for Christ - Eternity is in the balance!
- Watching teens serve in worship makes me smile.
- Kind words are a refreshment to my soul.
- Sometimes I just tear up!
- Yes, you can be in a room full of people and still feel all alone.
- Attended a funeral of a dear preacher Saturday. Faithful to the end - well done!
- Connected with several alums while at the funeral, so good to see so many using their talents for the Lord, may the zeal never cease!
- Another church in Florida closed this week, the harvest is plentiful, we need more harvesters!
- I think about Heaven a lot lately.
- Klondike Bars are the ultimate comfort food.
- I read this week that Cato from the old Pink Panther movies passed away - I always laughed when Cato and Inspector Clouseau would "train" in martial arts. Kathy did not understand the humor, but I thought it was funny.
- Here is a great Psalm of David
- Something to Chew on; All such institutions have one thing in common; the need for bold, visionary leaders at all levels who can discern a different and better future for the organization, no matter its size, and can map a realistic path to attaining that future. ~ Robert Gates, A Passion for Leadership

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at FCC Kissimmee today, one of the most inspiring worship services I have attended in a long time.
- Jim continued his series from the 23rd Psalm, so glad the Lord is my shepherd.
- Some worship songs leave me speechless.
- A very moving time during the invitation this morning.
- As busy as I try to make myself, it really is difficult to get back into the swing of things.
- So thankful for the many calls, texts and msgs.
- Oh for one more day!
- Trying to live out this verse this week.
- I am still reading the sympathy cards - friends are such an encouragement.
- Question of the day; Why does a 2 minute horse race need over 2 hours of pre-race coverage?
- Don't look now the month of May is almost over!
- JUFL campus is extremely quiet - missing our students.
- Only 103 days til the first weekend of college football.
- Something to Chew on; My favorite things in life do not cost any money. It is clear that the most precious resource we all have is time. ~ Steve Jobs

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Week...
Let me just say, while it was a difficult week there were some things that happened which reminded me God is a compassionate father to the brokenhearted.
Let me just say, while it was a difficult week there were some things that happened which reminded me God is a compassionate father to the brokenhearted.
- Worshiped today at Fist Christian Church of Kissimmee, today's message focused on the 23rd Psalm - "He restores my soul"
- True restoration can only happen when one has a relationship with Christ.
- Watched the baptismal waters stir once again - I tell you that never gets old!
- Also had an opportunity to visit Journey Christian in Apopka today as well, So good to see what God is doing through their children's ministry of JCC. Oh, BTW baptismal waters stirred there as well!
- Kathy's Celebration of Life service reminded me once again, the value of being a part of ministry for 30 plus years.
- So touched by the comments and visits from so many people Tuesday.
- Amazed the distance some people traveled to celebrate Kathy's life. Thank you Bill, Kathy, Phil & Dorothy, Ministers from around the state, and so many more, I appreciate all of you!
- I miss her dearly.
- I do not like the new normal.
- God has opened a new opportunity for a friend of mine, God has brought beauty out of the ashes for him and his family.
- Commencement was a week ago; oh the places these new alums will go, may the zeal never cease!
- This is my 300th Sunday Night Reflection, it looks like I have been reflecting for a while. My first SNR was Feb. 7, 2010
- So glad Kathy does not have to deal with the upcoming presidential election; have we gone nuts????? In the words of Mr. Gump, "That is all I have to say about that!"
- This song has a special meaning to me now.
- Good Friends - you can't have enough of them.
- Something to Chew on; Take advantage of every moment, life is short ~ Alan

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Worshiped at FCC Kissimmee today, wonderful message on evangelism.
- Key take away, there are no chance encounters when it comes to being a witness for Christ!
- Who knows if the person you tell about Jesus will transform a home, a street, a community?
- This week we made the hardest decision we have ever had to make.I hate cancer.
- Decision making is only possible and profitable when God is in the process.
- Judging by the attention there has been for the passing of a musician this week, it is obvious people long for something more in this life.
- Yes, God has set eternity in our heart and there is nothing this world can offer better than eternity with God.
- I see a lot of brokenness in this world, and this I know God can put all the pieces back together, THIS IS OUR VICTORY.
- Only one week of class left and then finals at JUFL - this year has gone by fast.
- I am a fan of nurses.
- I do not know what I would do without the love of Christian friends.
- Something to Chew on; Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strength. ~ Charles Spurgeon

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Continuing to Worship at FCC Kissimmee today. Jim preached from my favorite parable from Luke 15; the Lost Son.
- Here is the beauty of scripture; I have preached several messages from this text and yet Jim brought out other items from the text!
- The Word of God truly is living and active.
- Singing the chorus of the old Hymn, "Softly and Tenderly" was a moving way to end this morning's message.
- Kathy had to go back to the hospital Friday; I marvel at the skill and compassion of nurses.
- So thankful for the many offers of help from the University and the Church, God's people are so good!
- When I am tired, Savannah has a way of lifting me up!
- Heard of another church closing soon, Oh how it must Grieve our Heavenly Father.
- Every day we are getting closer to His return; oh come Lord Jesus.
- Good friends are a precious gift from God.
- Something to Chew on; 1 Chronicles 29:11-12

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Great message from the life of Zacchaeus today at FCC Kissimmee
- Hope for the friendless!
- Have you noticed how many time Jesus stopped what he was doing to help the friendless?
- Zacchaeus, the woman at the well, The thief on the cross, The woman caught in adultery.
- Key point from today's message, would you allow your calendar to be open to God's agenda, rather than you own agenda and to do list?
- Blue Bell Ice Cream is back!
- Watching my friends up north endure one last blast of winter makes me appreciate our Florida weather.
- Pass the Sunblock please!
- All the kids were home this weekend - treating them for lunch is lot more expensive now - no Happy Meals for these guys!
- Savannah always melts my heart, this time she invited me to her picnic in our family room. She is one creative kid! I believe she is gifted, just sayin'!
- After working in the fundraising field for 5 years I can honestly say it is never about the money.
- Just received a report from my Pandora Account for the month of March telling me the music I listened to the last 30 days, I really am a child of the 70's.
- I still believe in miracles.
- Something to Chew on; There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. ~ John Holmes

Sunday Night Reflections
A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...
- Powerful message this morning on the topic of hope - The Christian Faith is not a blind hope or a wishful hope, but a hope based on evidence!
- Passionate preaching stirs the soul!
- I am a firm believer that strong, biblical preaching is necessary to build a church both numerically and spiritually.
- Visiting a Walmart on Sunday will test your patience!
- Spent some time talking to church leaders this week, one of the big take-aways from our conversations - Unity is a must is a church is to move forward.
- Too many churches are fractured today, thus they are ineffective in carrying out their mission.
- Sense they are fractured, they are unsure of their mission.
- Don't look now but many college football teams are having their Spring Game this week. I think I have Pigskin Withdrawal.
- Top three things I hate about cancer... #1 It never stops destroying the body, #2 It drains a person of their energy, #3 It seems to be all consuming at times. We need to find a cure for this dreaded illness!
- So thankful for so many prayer warriors.
- This past week, I was looking over the early history of CFBC - wow, we were really pioneers.
- Something to Chew on; The more seriously you take your growth, the more seriously people will take you. ~ John Maxwell
