A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

• Worshiped at Ocala Christian Church this morning 
• Roger preached on the subject of resisting temptation from 1 Corinthians 10.
• Key Thought #1, Temptation always begins with a thought - therefore we should set our minds on things above  (Colossians 3:1-3)
• Key Thought #2, The best way to keep temptation at bay is to Submit to the Lord's will in your life. 
• So good to see a couple of alumni using their gifts this morning. It is always good to see our alumni serving in the local church. 
• Presented a planned giving seminar today at Ocala Christian this afternoon.
• What kind of legacy are you leaving for future generations? I am not just talking about one's material resources.
• Received word the university's first librarian passed away this week, the tributes on social media have been inspiring. 
• The early years of Central Florida Bible College now Johnson University Florida were very special. Unless you were there, you just don't understand how special the early years were to and for us.
• I had the opportunity to see a high school drama department perform this past weekend. University High School in Orlando has a very talented group of teenagers!
• Saturday was the 6th week of the college football season, it is hard to believe we are at the halfway point of the season!
• I think the Kentucky loss was a wakeup call for the boys in orange and blue!
• I saw pumpkin spice pretzels in the grocery store yesterday, I think we have gone a little too far with the whole pumpkin spice thing!
• Looking forward to some cooler weather soon, for us in Florida that means highs in the mid to upper 80's
