Sunday Night Reflections

A Few thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Preached at Macclenny Christian Church and First Christian Church Lake City this morning.
  • The theme of the message; "an uncommon place".
  • Key Point of the message; Common items, given to God, will produce uncommon results.
  • Key Point #2, We all have common items in our lives, the question for all of us; Are we willing to give God our common items and allow Him to work in our life?
  • COVID and Cancer have taken their toll on friends this past week. I am looking forward to the day when God will wipe away every tear.
  • When I hear of the people who are facing loss this past week, I find comfort in Jeremy Camp's song, There will be a Day. You can hear the song here.
  • I attended the funeral of a godly leader this past weekend, Mark was a great example of a life well-lived.
  • Here is a set of verses I am focusing on this week.
  • I was able to attend a High School football this past week, Always fun to watch young men play the game just for fun.
  • Fall has arrived in Florida, not much different than summer, except there is pumpkin spice everywhere!
  • But once the pumpkin spice goes away it is time for White Chocolate Oreos! Be still my beating heart!
  • Does anyone else out there forget to unmute their zoom meeting when they have a good point to share?
  • For the first 8 months of the year, I received a very small amount of snail mail, but in the last few weeks, I have been slammed with mail from politicians, MAKE IT STOP!
  • Something to Chew on; There are three constants in life... Change, Choice, and Principles. Stephen Covery
