Sunday Night Reflections

A Few Thoughts from an Amazing Day...

  • Worshiped at Canoe Creek Christian Church this morning.
  • Over the next five weeks, the church looking to recalibrate their worship and ministry to families, seeking God's direction through prayer and reflection.
  • Ross asked a couple of penetrating questions this morning, Question #1, how do you prepare for worship? Question #2, do you prepare for worship?
  • Speaking of prayer, while our small group is not able to meet face to face I believe our prayer time is growing stronger each week. So thankful for this group of prayer warriors!
  • I spoke to a VERY good friend who has COVID along with his wife, friends this virus is serious stuff.
  • My dear friend Suzy lost a friend to COVID, my heart breaks for the families and friends who have lost loved ones as a result of this virus.
  • I had a special treat this morning, I worshiped with some long-time friends, following worship, we had a great lunch. Thank you, Jim, Nell, Faith, and Doug!
  • I have been rereading the book "Boundaries" by Henry Cloud, what a great book to help us focus on what we want to accomplish in a demanding world.
  • Saturday night I was able to connect with my oldest son and his family for dinner, BTW Suzy was our special guest. Anytime I can be with my kids it is a good day!
  • Well, Saturday did not go how I wanted it, but I still enjoy watching college football - REMEMBER, EVERY GAME MATTERS!
  • Something to Chew on; The difference between successful people and really successful people is really successful people say "No" to almost everything. ~ Warren Buffett
